Hello, My name is Işın! It means a line segment with a definite beginning and an unknown end. I think that it suits me really well. Because I don't know what awaits for me in life and I love this feeling of uncertainty& freedom!

I live in Istanbul. I work as a Project Manager in a NGO called the Sustainability Steps Association. We aim to increase awareness on climate crisis in Turkey. I started working here shortly after I got my degree in political science. Now, I feel that it is time for me to leave my comfort zone and experience different things, meet new people, listen to their stories and create some memories. I will be coming to New Zealand in December as a working holiday visa holder. I am really excited for this once in a lifetime opportunity and I look forward to what life will bring to me!

Quais são suas habilidades?

I had the chance to volunteer on an organic farm with chickens, goats, and dogs. I helped with cooking and cleaning, I took care of their animals. Also, I had the opportunity to help them by planting and harvesting vegetables and fruits.

I stayed in a community build earthship and learned using cob,
glass bottles and cans as a building material, practiced biodynamic farming.

Other than that, I'm always open and willing to learn new things, working outside and do physical work where my hands are getting dirty!

I am calm, kind-hearted, empathic and a fun person. At least that's how my friends would describe me! I love interacting with the people that I come across with, someone that I sit on the bus with, someone that I come across in the grocery store, actually seeing the people around you, complimenting them, and the last but not least just sharing a smile with them is really important to me!

I love being in the mountains, somewhere close to the water, or a beautiful forest. Camping with my friends, watching the moon together, witnessing to a beautiful sunset, swimming in the cold rivers, having a homemade dinner with the people that I love, sharing stories, listening others, singing, dancing, slow mornings, just being…

I am passionate about cooking! I feel like it’s a channel that brings out my creativity and strengthens my instincts. It’s keeps me in the flow, takes me back in the present when my mind is not.

Also, I love seeing new places, meeting people from everywhere around the world, get to know them better and their culture, building beautiful connections, seeing a part of you in them, and showing them every side of you, just to love and being loved in return as Nat King Coles one said :)
