Hey everyone,
my name is Isa, I’m 20 years old and I live in Germany. I’m an open-minded, curious and reliable person who loves to travel and to meet people from all around the world. With the age of 18 I went on my first solo trips to Spain and Thailand. During my travels I explored amazing landscapes and got to know interesting cultures with even more interesting people – both locals and other backpackers. I love listening to other people’s stories, their perceptions and experiences. Talking to them and spending time with them inspired and enabled me to grow immensely.

Apart from traveling I love doing sports. I love dancing, running and doing yoga. I‘m an active person who loves being out and about and in nature. Another hobby of mine is cooking. I really enjoy trying new recipes with extraordinary ingredients and spices. I love to experiment in the kitchen, e.g. fermenting yoghurt, kimchi or preparing food with my self–grown herbs, sprouts and microgreens. My other passion is being creative. I have fun sewing my own clothes, upcycling old ones or crocheting bags, hats or other small things.

For the last year I‘ve been taking part in a project called ‘voluntary social year’. In this context I‘ve been working in psychiatry full time. Before I’m going to start studying psychology in autumn, I want to spend my free time traveling to France, Spain and Portugal. Apart from visiting some friends I would love to do some workaways. In my opinion this is the best way to connect with new people and learn from each other.

Quais são suas habilidades?

During my volunteering project on a permaculture farm in northern Thailand I learned a lot about natural building, composting and planting. I helped harvesting lemongrass that we roasted for making tea. We also used it to extract essential oils. I supported the others with pruning and mulching trees and installing an irrigation system. I also helped building raised beds made out of earthen bags and clay.

I love working with children! No matter whether it's teaching them, crafting something, playing board games or being active outside together - I enjoy all of it. I love how authentic, curious and full of joy children are!

Apart from working in hospital, I have experience in working in service industries like restaurants and cafes. So I can promise you that I know how to clean, organize and work hard (:

I‘m good at learning new things quickly and I’m open for every kind of work. Since my sewing projects and other crafts need a lot of time and dedication, I’m good at tasks that require patience, precision and diligence.
