Hi, my name is Hannah.

I'm 22 years old, turning 23 in november. I've just finished my studies in social work (in Frankfurt) and want to work with children in the future. I've always loved my hometown Offenburg in the south of Germany and didn't want to leave but now I got the feeling, that I need and want to see other parts of the world before starting a fulltime job. That's why I'm here, searching for a friendly family, that likes to show me their everyday family life in a different culture and let me be a part of their world. In my freetime I like going outside with friends, doing creative stuff, for example cooking, crafting or what else that comes to my mind and visiting concerts because I reaaaally love music. I already worked with kids at different jobs in my life and really love them regardless of their age.

I think my friends would describe me as an openminded, empathetic and uncomplicated person. Hope we get to know each other soon :)

Quais são suas habilidades?
I like "working" and spending time with kids. Doesn't matter if they are already 13 years or just a few months old. I've been babysitting at different families since I was 15 years old and liked these kids a lot (4 of 5 families had twins, so I'm trained with that). Beside that I had other jobs that involved working with children. Light housework isn't a problem for me, because I already moved out, so I'm used to it. I have less experience in gardening or fixing things, but I'm open to learn it from you.

Hannah war von Anfang Oktober bis Mitte Dezember bei uns und hat unsere Familie auf eine unglaublich positive Weise bereichert. Unsere drei Kinder haben sie vom ersten Moment an ins Herz geschlossen – und wir ebenso.

Hannah hat uns inspiriert und immer wieder überrascht. Sie zeichnet sich durch Fleiß, Ehrgeiz und… read more Eigeninitiative aus und hat stets mitgedacht. Ihre Hauptaufgabe war die Betreuung unserer Kinder ( 7, 2 Jahre, 9 Monate) - mit einer Selbstverständlichkeit hat sie alle 3 Kinder bestens betreut und sogar das Baby mit Einfühlungsvermögen und Geduld zum Schlafen gebracht.
Die Zeit mit ihr war für die Kinder ein echtes Highlight: Sie haben Laternen für den Martinsumzug gebastelt, neue kreative Dinge ausprobiert, viel gezeichnet, beim Vorlesen viel Spaß gehabt und Girlanden schmücken seither unser Haus. Hannah hatte immer tolle Ideen, wie sie die Kinder sinnvoll und liebevoll beschäftigen konnte, sei es beim Basteln, auf dem Spielplatz oder bei gemeinsamen Spaziergängen. Ein Beispiel, von dem die Kinder noch heute erzählen: Hannah hat einen Kinoabend Zuhause organisiert. Die Kinder bekamen gebastelte Tickets, konnten sich von der Snackkarte was bestellen und durften nach dem Einlass den Kinosaal betreten.

Auch im Haushalt war sie eine große Hilfe und hat selbstverständlich mit angepackt. Sie ist ein sehr aufgeschlossener, offener und freundlicher Mensch, der schnell eine Verbindung zu unserer Familie und auch zu unseren Gästen gefunden hat. Von allen Seiten hat man uns zu unserer Workawayerin gratuliert, was für ein tolles Mädl wir da bekommen haben 😀😃🙂

Wir vermissen Hannah sehr und sind dankbar für diese wunderbare Workaway-Erfahrung. Sie war eine Bereicherung für uns, und wir können sie uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen - sie ist ein Gewinn für jede Familie!

English Version:
Hannah was with us from the beginning of October until mid-December and enriched our family in an incredibly positive way. Our three children took her to their hearts from the very first moment – and so did we.

Hannah inspired and repeatedly surprised us. She is characterized by hard work, ambition, and initiative, always thinking ahead. Her main responsibility was taking care of our children (7 years, 2 years, and 9 months old) – and she did so effortlessly, providing excellent care for all three, even soothing the baby to sleep with empathy and patience.
The time spent with her was a true highlight for the children: They made lanterns for the St. Martin’s parade, tried out new creative activities, did a lot of drawing, enjoyed reading together, and decorated the house with garlands. Hannah always had wonderful ideas on how to keep the children meaningfully and lovingly engaged, whether it was crafting, playing at the playground, or going on shared walks. One example the children still talk about today: Hannah organized a movie night at home. The children received handmade tickets, ordered snacks from a menu, and were allowed to enter the "cinema room" after being checked in.

She was also a great help around the house and willingly pitched in wherever needed. Hannah is an open-minded, outgoing, and friendly person who quickly bonded with our family and even our guests. We received compliments from all sides about what an amazing girl we had as our Workawayer 😀😃🙂.

We miss Hannah dearly and are incredibly grateful for this wonderful Workaway experience. She was a true blessing to us, and we can wholeheartedly recommend her – she would be an asset to any family!

I've stayed at Lisa & Stefan's home for a bit more than 2 month and really had the best time! Both of them are very open, friendly and communicative people, who welcomed me very warm. Also the kids were super open and absolutly not shy, what made it really easy for me in the beginning.
