    Hello there! :)

First, here is a short and up-to-date summary about myself:

I am currently looking for opportunities for the summer and autumn of 2025. I am available from mid-May, and I am eager to assist hosts in hospitality, tourism, farming, permaculture, horticulture, animal care, wildlife conservation, community support, education, teaching, translation, or any other field where I have experience or can learn the necessary tasks.

Since May 2024, I have travelled and worked as a volunteer and in paid jobs at magical locations surrounded by nature. My journey has taken me to the West Coast of Ireland, Swedish Lapland beyond the Arctic Circle, Northern Iceland, Navarino Island in Chile – the world's southernmost commune – and Norway.

I stayed with my hosts for one to two months, assisting them in their hospitality and tourism business and at their home, farm, or other type of property. My responsibilities included housekeeping, waitressing, reception, and overall guest services. I also worked as a translator, barista, dishwasher, and kitchen porter. Additionally, I helped with caring for dogs, some other pets, and farm animals, as well as sanding and sealing the wood walls of a hotel building. It was my first time working in carpentry, and I liked it very much. While it was not hard to learn, managing it was challenging due to the constantly changing weather conditions. I found it very rewarding.

All my Workaway experiences have been enriching, educational, and fun, even at the most difficult moments, so I am eager to continue my adventures. I cannot wait to meet my next host and challenge! :)

    A bit more about me:

Like others on Workaway, I am here to seek new experiences, knowledge and skills.

I love learning, exploring diverse cultures, meeting people from different backgrounds, and immersing myself in nature. I am independent but enjoy being part of a community and collaborating with others. I like helping people and making their day brighter.

I am passionate about nature and wildlife. The beauty of landscapes, flora, and fauna fills me with joy. I am fond of the countryside and "all creatures, great and small". :) I love caring for animals and spending time outdoors, whether working, relaxing, exercising, or simply wandering around. I also enjoy interacting with people of different cultures and ages and listening to their stories and perspectives. I appreciate meaningful conversations about personal beliefs, philosophies, passions, projects, and challenges. It's inspiring.

Experiencing another culture, lifestyle, and job is an exciting and enlightening adventure I always crave to repeat. Instead of travelling from place to place, I'd prefer to stay with the same host for several months or an entire season to gain a more comprehensive experience. I want to become a part of the local life and community as much as possible, adjust to its rhythm and routines, and fall in love with it. I want to master my tasks, and when I am free, I'd like to visit many interesting places, which also takes time.

In the last twenty years, I've mainly worked in office jobs and spent a lot of time chained to the computer, so I am eager to do physical work to help hosts. It would be even better if the job combined physical and mental efforts, but I'm open to any tasks. I'll strive to learn and do them well. I'd also love to participate in a project that benefits people or the environment.

All this might sound like a collection of familiar and generic platitudes, but it reflects who I am. Oh, and one more thing! I don't take myself too seriously and love to have a good laugh.

You can read about my studies, career path, and skills below.

    I appreciate your attention! :)

  • Quais são suas habilidades?

    Hello again! :)

I have various skills and interests that might be useful to hosts. I have described them in separate sections below. Please note the headings if you are searching for specific areas.

Studies and Career – Soft Skills and Adaptability:
I studied humanities, focusing on literature and languages, mainly German. After university, I lived in various countries such as Spain, the UK, and Portugal, and worked in different fields. My early jobs included being a tour guide, hotel receptionist, student advisor, teacher, and translator. Later, I moved into business administration and finance, working in various positions, from assistant to team lead and manager. Eventually, I transitioned into project management and consulting roles for business transformations and software implementations. Through these experiences, I developed strong communication and interpersonal skills and learned to adapt to changes and challenges.

    IT/ Computer Skills:
Although I am not an IT professional, I have practical IT knowledge and computer skills from my experience in business administration, ERP project management, and software consulting. If you need IT-related help, let's discuss what I can do.

    Languages:
I am fluent in English, German, Spanish, and Hungarian and have taught English and German to children before. I can help you practice any of these languages or translate written texts. I have translated website content, flyers, restaurant menus, training materials, and instruction manuals and worked on software localisation.

    Hospitality and Tourism:
I have experience working as a tour guide in Italy and Norway. I was responsible for leading groups of 45-55 senior visitors from Germany on trips to different locations like Venice, Verona, Lago di Garda, the Dolomites, Stavanger, Lysefjord, Jøssingfjord, and Bergen. My job included daily bus tours, wine tastings, boat trips, sightseeing in cities and towns, museum visits, folklore events, lunches and dinners, trekking in the mountains, and similar activities. Apart from this, I have also worked as a receptionist at a city-centre hotel and managed travel arrangements, accommodations, facilities, catering, training courses, and leisure activities for pupils from all continents and age groups at an international language school and a global business school. Additionally, I used to help out at my friend's bar in Barcelona as a side job, where I waited tables, cleaned, and organised events. If you run a hotel, hostel, restaurant, bar or café, I'd love to help you!

    Physical Work, Cleaning and Cooking:
I love being active and would happily assist you with physical work such as housekeeping, gardening, or farm work. I can clean and tidy your house or help with a home project. I take pride in my work and maintain high standards, including cleaning. I am thorough. :) I enjoy cooking and can make some delicious dishes. While I am not a master chef, I can adjust to your needs and help you with specific tasks and meals, such as cleaning and prepping food as a kitchen porter, serving breakfast or something similar. I would love to learn how to prepare your specialities and occasionally cook my style of food for you.

Farm Work and Help with Animals:
The countryside and farm life are close to my heart. I grew up helping my grandparents on their farms. They had a variety of livestock, vegetable gardens, corn fields, orchards, and a small vineyard. I had many tasks, but I especially loved caring for the farm animals: feeding, herding, and cleaning them or their stalls. I am an animal lover with a particular affinity for dogs, and we have always had dogs in my family (currently a Border Terrier).

    Wine and Horticulture:
I am passionate about wine and interested in gardening. I am from a wine region and have a basic understanding of winemaking. I would love to learn more about it. While my experience in horticulture may be limited, my enthusiasm for quality produce and my love for outdoor work make me a dedicated helper in this area.

    Children and Seniors:
I believe I have a knack for connecting with people of different age groups, including children and seniors. I enjoy spending time with them, and they also seem to like my company. I am good at engaging young ones in creative play and facilitating their learning. I've always been interested in pedagogy and psychology and have studied these subjects at university. I worked as an au pair in Hungary, Scotland, and Spain in my early twenties. I've also taught German and English to children in the past. On a more random note, I used to play volleyball at a competitive level during my school years. While it has been quite some time, I can still teach the basics of the game to both kids and adults. As a child, I also danced in a Hungarian folk dance group for many years if interested.

    Art or other Creative Projects:
I have always appreciated art in all its forms, especially music, literature, photography, film, painting, and other visual arts. If you have an art project, I would be thrilled to help you and contribute as much as possible as an enthusiastic supporter. I am not an artist but have an active mind and can be creative if something sparks my imagination.

In summary, I am a mature, adaptable, and dependable person, eager to learn new skills and help you with any task. If it is physical work and something entirely different from my usual job in software implementations, that would be even more appealing to me.

This should give you a general idea of who I am and what I can offer. However, if you want to know more, please feel free to ask any questions.

Thank you for your attention! :)

If you're curious, you can read about my favourite pastimes below. However, there isn't any essential information you would miss if you skip this. ;-)

I love being active outdoors, walking, hiking, running, doing Pilates, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, cycling, trekking, or skiing, depending on the possibilities. On holiday, I like to try more adventurous activities such as skydiving, paramotoring, or canyoning. If I have company, I enjoy playing volleyball, badminton, table tennis, bowling or snooker.

I am fond of animals, especially dogs, and enjoy spending time with them. I love walking in nature and discovering what is around me. I go birdwatching, forage for herbs or wild edibles, pick mushrooms, berries or litter, or participate in conservation or rescue activities. I have friends who work in different wildlife jobs, so I can sometimes join them.

I read articles and essays online and different genres of books on paper. I can get lost for hours researching topics that interest me, which can come from various fields. I enjoy podcasts, debates, documentaries, fiction films, sketches, stand-ups and other shows.

I cherish the occasions I can cook, have great conversations, and enjoy food and wine with friends. I also like playing social games, especially trivia, word games, and "Activity".

Although I'm selective about music, I appreciate various genres. I love live music, especially in smaller, more intimate venues such as pubs, jazz, blues, fado, or flamenco clubs. I also enjoy classical music concerts. If it's an option, I visit galleries, exhibitions, and museums and occasionally watch a modern theatre play or dance performance.
