Hey!

We’re Franzi & Leo from Cologne, Germany.

We’re two nature-loving, open-minded people who enjoy learning new things, working outdoors and connecting with local communities. Since April 2025, we’ve been travelling – and from April to October, we walked all the way from Cologne to Istanbul. Moving slowly, sleeping in our tent and spending our days outside reminded us how much we value simple living, physical work and meeting people from different cultures.

Leo studied Sustainable Economics and later worked at a sustainability-focused start-up. He has hands-on farming experience from several weeks on a pineapple and lime farm in Australia, and also spent time volunteering at Sadhana Forest in India. He enjoys cooking, gardening, fieldwork, basic construction tasks and anything that requires practical thinking and teamwork.

Franzi studied Anthropology and Education and worked as a facilitator, giving workshops on climate change and sustainability at schools. She loves outdoor life, intercultural exchange and working with children or groups. She also has a big passion for any kind of animals and loves spending time with them and learning more about their life and ecosystems.

We’re reliable, active, easy-going and used to simple living. We like to help wherever needed—gardening, planting, harvesting, cooking, cleaning, supporting small projects or learning new skills on the go. We enjoy hiking, being around forests and mountains, reading, good food and community life. Also we are fast learning, we have a good eye for Details and because of the hike through Europe our body’s are pretty used to physical activities in the heat.

Why India and why permaculture?
Because we want to learn more about regenerative and ecological farming, soil care and sustainable living directly from people who practise it every day. We hope to contribute our skills and enthusiasm while gaining hands-on experience on farms and community projects.

We’re excited to meet new people, join the rhythm of farm life and be a positive part of your project.
