Hello! My name is Eva :) I am an optimistic, energetic and fun half Spanish and French person. I am fluent in English, Catalan, French and Spanish with intermediate speaking in Italian. I am super communicative and love to interact with people and learn more languages!

I’ve worked as a tutor for ten years teaching music, English literature, French and Spanish. While not officially trained yet, I have also taught community yoga sessions for a couple years. Most of my students are young people with complex needs who benefit from a patient, relax and humorous approach.

I adore being in nature, physical activity, reading, talking, playing games and writing or any other creative pursuits. My main hobbies are rock climbing, cooking and songwriting.

I love to travel as a way to make meaningful connections and a positive impact on the earth and its people and creatures :) I hope to learn new languages, card games and ways of being and thinking. I am hopeful to find new scenery to paint and people to write poems about. I believe deeply in community as a way to heal. With my years in tutoring and my positive and silly way of being I often find ways to help people see the brighter side of life and work towards mutual betterment.

My future plans include training in yoga studies and counselling/therapeutic practices. I already hold a Climbing Wall Instructor title but would like to obtain an outdoor qualification as I believe outdoor activity, particularly sport climbing is an extremely therapeutic tool to help people conquer fear and develop self confidence.

I’ve been a language teacher for over seven years now. My favourite way to learn is just by talking to people casually and learning by community immersion. When it comes to teaching I have more structured approaches and textbooks where necessary.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Great language skills- fluent in English, Catalan, French, Spanish, intermediate Italian. Very fast at learning languages as I have desire to community.
Teaching Skills - over seven years of teaching music and languages. Patient approach with my students as many have complex social, emotional, mental health needs. I have a qualification for working with individuals with autism.
Music/Creativity - I hold a bachelors and masters in songwriting and adore writing songs. I play guitar, sing and play bass. I’ve picked up other instruments such as cello, trumpet and piano too.
Yoga/Sports - instructor for yoga (mostly yin, very slow restorative, and vinyasa, flowing with breath, faster flow) and rock climbing (bouldering, top rope and lead) - mostly for younger students and as a therapeutic tool.
Cooking - I adore cooking and can cook good, healthy food for most diets. I am vegetarian but can cook vegan well too.
Good attitude - finally I am easy to work with. I say good morning and sing while I clean. I communicate openly and let people know when I need help. I like to laugh and work as a team.
