I recently faced big changes in my life and I'm looking for new perspectives. So I found workaway or vice versa: workaway found me…

I left my profession as mechanical engineer and corporate life in September 2023, sold all my belongings in October 2023 and started a new chapter of travelling, self-exploration and inner growth in India in November 2023.

Beside my professional career I was always interested in social work and different kinds of sports & outdoor activities. That accompanied my childhood, my studies and my work life. Recently the sense of spirituality and inner work was added to that through reading, yoga & meditation. Now I decided to provide more space to that path and leave everything behind to become fully aware of what deserves more attention in my life.

Now I'm looking for new experiences in various ways of combining living & working.
I don't have significant experience with workaways and at the same time I travelled a lot to different countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and America and developed an open mind and curiosity for foreign languages, cultures and ways of living...
I'm not limited to a certain expectation of what my first workaway must look like and where it needs to be. Evenmore I'm happy to contribute whatever is needed and learn whatever is provided.

People would describe me as an easy-going, flexible, committed, responsible, trustworthy and well organised person. Maybe due to German conditioning… ;-)
I’m able to contribute with a wide skill set (see below) and a good work ethic, so I'm not frightened to work or to get my hands dirty for a valuable purpose.

Professional career as a Mechanical Engineer:
I worked for almost 10 years as Production/Assembly Planner, Technical Project Manager & Team Leader at BMW in Munich;
I left the Job and the corporate life in September 2023 and started a new chapter with travelling, self-exploration and inner growth in India.

Further qualifications, personal & social skills:
- Sports therapist (in training, started 07/2023) --> able to treat injuries & pain and offer massages
- certified Yoga teacher since 11/2023 (200h Yoga Alliance) --> able to offer Hatha & Yin Yoga classes
- regular meditation practitioner since 2022 --> able to offer guided meditations for beginners
- surfing experience since 2014 --> able to offer surf guiding for advanced beginners/ intermediate surfers and to offer surf theory and surf mobility classes
- founder of a social integration program with Roundnet (Spikeball) in Munich (https://munichroundnet.de/integration)
- volunteered in different children & youth care organisations since the age of 16. Organised nature camps, summer and winter vacations aligned with different kind of (sports) activities --> able to offer different activities to connect with the local communities
- Snowboard instructor since 2011 and teacher of Snowboard instructors since 2016
- certified Advanced Open Water Diver (Padi & SSI)
- experience in using limited machinery and power tools for DIY projects, construction and maintenance
- kitchen experience, e.g. preparing food for large groups (80-100 people), able to bake German bread made from sourdough; my signature dish: porridge with a variety of fresh fruits and nuts
