Hello world, Eline is here!

A while back, my life changed. Or actually, my life didn’t change. I did. And I am more than grateful for this! I am at a point in my life where I realize I am more than what I’ve identified with for the past ten years. ‘I want to want to live’ had been my life goal for years. However, that life goal no longer applies for me. ‘I am alive!’ That’s my current state and goal. It’s as if I suddenly see color in a world that has been black and white for me for ten years.

I’m looking for opportunities where I can explore myself together with others: I’m a social bumblebee! I’m creative when it comes to making art, I’m an indulgent and trained cook and I’m in my happy-place when I get the chance to teach.

In the last couple of years, I worked for the Dutch national active listening children/teen hotline (De Kindertelefoon). Here, I started off as a volunteer who picked up the phone and spoke directly to kids who wanted to talk. After a while, I trained upcoming volunteers. Next to that, I worked for NGO's who create programs and trainings about Diversity and Inclusion. Here, I coordinated programs and lectures to a divers scala of people, companies and universities. Still, teaching is something I'm very fond of, especially learning together.

I'm a trained cook (I went to culinary school for a while) and I know a thing or two about gardening vegetables and herbs. I'm fond of animals and I'm a great pet owner. I'd love to develop my culinary skills, but also in combination with creating a permaculturic garden. Loads of recipes loading in my mind...

I like being creative. At home, I have a small art studio where I paint, draw, sculpt, knit and sew. When on a WorkAway, I'd love to share my qualities and knowledge about the arts. So think about creating and painting murals on walls, or creating mosaics in kitchens -- anything to let the creativity flow in connection with others.

I'm looking forward to potentially meeting you. Who knows what the universe is planning for us? For we are part of it all!

I'm literally a Jack-of-all-traits. I'm a fast learner. As Pippi Langkous once said: 'I've never done it before, so I think I can do it.'

When I have a task, goal or ambition, I give 100%. I'm a hard and efficient worker and I don't mind going for the extra mile. (Mile? Man, when I'm passionate about something I will go for an extra 50 miles!)
