I am a semi-retired business guy whose permanent residence is in the mountains of north-central New Mexico in the United States. I still do consulting and advisory projects with small businesses and non-profit organizations when I find a good fit with my skills, experience, and interests. My wife, Kris, is a social worker and therapist who recently retired. We have two sons who are in their thirties. We like to travel and both my wife and I lived for extended time in Europe when we were younger. We like hiking, walking, meeting people, and learning about new things and places. I do alot of hiking in the mountains and I'll be interested in walking and hiking wherever I go. We are easy going and adaptable people.

I blog about hikes, destinations, food, and other things that interest me at www.primepassages.com -- I have written about my Workaway experience in the Czech Republic in the blog.

Quais são suas habilidades?

My career involved assisting a broad variety of small businesses and non-profit organizations in their start-up and development. Working with visitors and tourists and the businesses that cater to them has been an important part of the work. I am computer (PC) savvy and have designed and maintained websites and databases. I come from a "do-it-yourself" family so I've had experience with alot of different kinds of work: farming, gardening, taking care of animals, bee keeping, building, repairing, maintaining, etc., etc. I am not an expert at any of these things but I have some familiarity with alot of different kinds of manual tasks.

I am an experienced blogger hosting my own website that I created in Wordpress -- it is a travel and lifestyle blog where I write stories and share my photography. I have professional experience with tourism development and management, entrepreneurial assistance, business, and community development. My main interest will be in these areas of my experience. My wife travels with me sometimes - she is an experienced social worker and therapist.
