We are two girls from Ireland who have been close friends since secondary school. We're both looking to explore Greece after a stressful year finishing our undergraduate degrees.

CLODAGH
Hi! My name is Clodagh. After spending a wonderful year studying abroad in Tilburg, the Netherlands, I have found a passion for travelling. I love meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds and I'm excited to see more of the world.

Living in a small seaside town in Dublin, my mam says we have sea water in our veins! I love swimming and being outdoors. I grew up in a very creative and musical household and have trained in acting, singing, and many styles of dance. I love to share music with others, whether it is playing and singing together, dancing, or sharing the music of our own cultures.

I am a deep thinker and very openminded, so I love to chat about life experiences and philosophies. I have worked a lot with children and teenagers, teaching dance and drama, and in Irish language summer camps in the Gaeltacht.

CLEO
Dia duit! My name is Cleo. I’m happiest when in the sun or the snow, neither of which happen much in Ireland! Because of this, I’m a very active person and I enjoy spending my time swimming, rowing, hiking or running- even better if it’s with a friend!

In addition to exercise, I studied European Studies in college which was an interdisciplinary degree with History, Politics, German and Italian. I would love to improve my languages or pick up some more (Greek!). I’m an open- minded person who is always up for a conversation or a friendly debate.

My life has been shaped by my travel experiences, from Europe, to Asia, to America, and now I have some time off from college I want to experience some of Greece- its wonderful cuisine, its beautiful landscape, and of course its history.

I’ve done an Erasmus in Vienna and also worked abroad as an Au Pair and English Nanny. In addition, I’ve worked as a shop and deli assistant, a waitress, and a summer camp guide throughout my education. I’m a very proactive person and I’m always willing to give a helping hand, no matter what the job! I believe that there is value and happiness to be found in any task.

CLODAGH
I have just completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology with many credits in Philosophy. I love reading, writing and have a very open mind. I am excited to learn everything there is to know about other cultures- perhaps I can learn something from you! :)

I have always been very musical and artistic and am professionally trained in singing, dance, and drama. I love sharing this passion with others and learning from other creatives. Maybe I can teach you some Irish music and dance!

I have plenty of experience working with children and teenagers aged 3-18 years teaching dance and drama. I love providing a positive and non-judgmental atmosphere for students to grow as performers and as confident and kind young people.

Gaeilge, the Irish language, is very close to my heart and I am very proud of my heritage. Every summer from the age of 14, I spent three weeks in the Gaeltacht (the Irish speaking region of Ireland) studying Irish. From the age of 18-21, I returned as a camp counsellor, passing on this love of language to the next generation. I coordinated many activities to help students learn through fun. Each year, I lived with a group of 15 teenage girls or boys. This gave me the opportunity to get to know each student, focusing on their strengths, supporting them, both in their studies and with any emotional difficulties that may arise as a teenager.

On a more practical note, I have lots of experience in painting and renovation work. Growing up helping my dad working in building maintenance and repairs, I have lots of experience painting both indoors and outdoors. Working in manual labour has given me a very strong work ethic as every job is complete with precision and care. Additionally, having studied art in school, I have quite a creative eye and enjoy working on creative projects.

CLEO
I have a degree in European Studies and I'm very passionate about human rights and currents affairs, having worked with Amnesty International, Doctors without Borders and the Society for International Affairs in college. I'm fluent in English, German and Irish and have conversational Italian. I've also been learning some Malayalam with my boyfriend. I'd love to practice any of these languages with you or perhaps learn something new together!

Alongside my education, I have a lot of experience working in hospitality and customer service, having worked as a sales assistant in my local shop, serving customers and ensuring that everything ran smoothly. I love cooking, both for myself and friends, and on a larger scale I have a lot of experience working in busy kitchens.
Above all, I love working with children, and I have been an Au Pair in Germany and Austria alongside having taught and ran activities in summer camps and abroad. I am great at creative and imaginative play and I treasure the bonds that I've made working with children.

Alongside practical experience, I'm a creative and open- minded individual who loves to do crafts such as scrapbooking and painting. I enjoy being outside and I could help with any DIY projects around the house. I'm always willing to try or learn something new!
