Hello! We are Christina and Stefan, an open, friendly and adventurous couple from Austria.

We’ve been together for 10 years and share a passion for discovering the world, experiencing new cultures, and connecting with people from all walks of life. We both grew up in rural Austria, with Christina spending her childhood on a farm, so we’re very comfortable with nature and animals.

A little more about us:

We’re both naturally very open and upbeat people. We love good conversation and are always in a positive mood. Christina especially loves deep discussions, whether it’s philosophizing about life, sharing values, or exchanging perspectives on the world. Connecting through conversation is one of her favorite things.

Stefan is not only talented in craftsmanship, but also has a wide range of practical skills. He trained as a plumber and now works as a Software Consultant in IT, but he’s also great at building and repairing things. Whether it’s construction, painting (thanks to his master-painter grandfather), or fixing something around the house, Stefan has the hands-on skills to get things done efficiently. Plus, his creativity comes through in his music—he’s a talented musician who loves to share his passion for rhythm and sound.

Christina has a background in law but followed her heart into the fields of communication and personal development. She now works as a communication trainer and coach in adult education, and she’s starting her own business in this field. Christina is also a certified yoga instructor. She’s a quick learner and loves solving problems with creativity and fresh ideas, whether it’s in her professional life or when taking on new projects.

We’re both easy-going, communicative, and curious people who love to laugh and learn. And of course, we both adore animals and have plenty of experience caring for them.

Skills we bring:

Stefan: Craftsmanship (plumbing, building, repairing, painting), gardening, working with plants, IT expertise, and music and of course: open for learning anything new.
Christina: gardening, repairing things, working with kids, cooking, social media, craftmanship, communication training, coaching, yoga instruction and creative problem-solving for any occasion.

We’re both animal lovers and enjoy being around pets and farm animals.

Languages:
We are native German speakers, fluent in English, and currently learning Spanish. Christina can already hold basic conversations in Spanish, and we’re both excited to improve as we travel.

Why Workaway?
We see Workaway as the perfect way to travel more deeply, by connecting with local communities and contributing to interesting projects. This would be our first Workaway experience, but we’ve traveled extensively and are excited to embrace this new adventure! We believe that the best way to understand the world is by experiencing it firsthand and connecting with people.

Whether it’s helping with building, painting, repairs, cooking, taking care of kids, household, teaching, or animal care, we’re ready to bring our skills and positive energy to whatever task is at hand. We are always open to learn something new and improve our skills.

We can’t wait to see what new experiences await us and the amazing people we’ll meet along the way.
