Truex family,
Hello, we are a family of 5, considering exiting the USA and wanting to look around. In the last 8 years, we built a passive solar, off grid, roadless natural home and permaculture site on our waterfront land in crabapple cove, southeast Alaska. Our home and site are spectacular, but our overarching culture, cold temps, and constant rain(3000mm) make us consider searching elsewhere. We currently have 4 goats, 7 ducks, and 14 chickens. Courtney, (1988)- is a trained massage therapist with a lot of history on organic farms. Michael, (1979) is a sailor-kayaker-shipwright-timber framer-natural builder and general off grid resource, able to fix almost anything. Feron, (2018) is a fiery youngster who is getting pretty helpful. Yarrow, (2021) is a linguistic marvel, and Gryphon, born January ‘24, is the easiest, most robust baby we know of.
As builder/farmer/off-grid folks, we have a lot to offer in terms of skills but are excited about learning new ones, and observing new ways of life inherent to other cultures and realities. We also recognize that we are many, and hosts will have to accept that Courtney will have to nurse the baby, or entertain Yarrow from time to time(but can hang with your kiddos too at the same time!). As such, we both expect to work hard and contribute as much as possible.

Hola. Somos una familia de 5 personas. Queremos buscar lugares con personas de Buena Honda, clima, ye tierra. En las ultimas 8 anos, construimos una casita natural sin electricidad ni carreterra en Alaska. Aquí tenemos una Buena vida, y nuestra chacra es casi perfecta. Todovia, por culpa de nuestra cultura mala, y clima muy frio y lluviosa(3000mm), queremos buscar un poco de ver otras realidades.
Miguel, 44 soy originalimente biologo, ahora mas marinero, carpintero de barcos y bioconstruccion, cortar arboles, herrero,cazador, puedo reperar qualqier cosa, tambien se muchas cosas sobre systemas de energia solar. He viajado un año en latinoamerica 2007.
Courtney, 35, Madre de la casa, tambien es terapia de masaje, y granjera/Guajira etc. Cresca mucha de nuestra comida aqui, aun la clima es muy dificil para crescer verduras.
Feron, 6 tiene mucho energia y es muy fuerte por su edad. Sabe como ir de barquito, pescar en el rio con redes, y ayudar con leña.
Yarrow, 3 habla muy bien desde poco edad. Le gusta flores y frutas.
Gryphon, nacer de este año, es muy tranquilo y robusto.
Mas que ninos, Ahora tenemos 4 cabras, 7 patos, y 14 gallenas.
