Hello! I am an active, strong, healthy 67 year old woman currently living in Rome, Italy. I’m officially retired but my professional life included being a social worker where I worked primarily with children and families. I was also a massage therapist for a short while. I love hiking, biking, swimming, reading, music (dancing), nature, etc. and I love animals and children. I am a proponent of social and economic justice and also do what I can to preserve the environment. I enjoy working with others as a team whether it be outdoors in the garden, cooking, or doing an indoor project. I love to travel and have been to Europe, Asia, Central America and the US. I enjoy meeting new people, learning new skills, and sharing with each other about our lives. I am in a relationship with a wonderful man (who is not keen on joining Workaway and who works part time) and two happy, well adjusted adult children who are now on their own. I am looking for some new adventures at this stage of my life and I’m itching to get out of the city and into a more rural environment.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have some experience with plants/gardening, painting (structures), cooking, and with children. I used to be a massage therapist and I love animals (have cared for cats, dogs, etc). I exercise regularly (yoga, strength training), and I have some basic computer skills.

I do enjoy certain board games. I love birds and watching them at my feeders and in the wild. I can be a risk taker at times (I've been sky diving twice even though I'm somewhat afraid of heights!) I enjoy meditation although I don't meditate consistently every day. I also enjoy baking.
