Descrição
Welcome to our profile! We appreciate you being here. Please don't hesitate to shoot us a message. We'd love to hear from you!
We started long-term slow traveling in September of 2023 in Norway. We've been in Europe since then, mostly exploring the Balkans after spending three months in Ireland after Norway.
Bryce:
The most succinct way that I can describe myself is that I like to take life as it comes to me. Currently, I am living with my partner, Julia, and our kitten, Harley. Individually, I tend to be a very energetic person. I love to move my body and exercise my brain in just about any way that I can think of. I am passionate about always improving myself to further diversify my abilities and my knowledge of the world. I don't have one individual passion or area of expertise right now, but I enjoy having a broad range of knowledge and skills so that I can make the first connection with as many people as possible. Having a challenge I am able to continuously work on is a must for me, be it big or small. However, I truly enjoy having the end of the day be simple. I love to sit in silence with my thoughts so I can process life or share those thoughts with someone who is willing to have a deep and grounded discussion. All in all, I am curious about exploring the world and all the adventures that will come with it.
Julia:
Hello! I'm Julia, 27, traveling the world with my partner Bryce and our adventure cat, Harley. One of the first things you'll learn about me is that I push myself to try anything once. I am always trying to add new skills to my "skills toolbox". I love gardening, teaching, cooking, reading, fiber work and writing. I am almost always listening to music and love to explore new genres.
I thrive most when it comes to nature-based hands on work. I had the opportunity to teach children ages 5 to 17 about sustainability and growing our own food at an children's nature day camp. This was a huge springboard for me and motivated me to dive deeper into self sustainability. I also taught in a school setting, teaching subjects like math, reading, science and geography. I learned quickly that the outdoor teaching was where I thrived.
I also love animals of all kind. Growing up on a hobby farm taught me many things, the most important- caring for animals in an ethically appropriate way. As well as helping educate younger generations how to do the same.Interesses

Quais são suas habilidades?
Bryce:
Formally, I have a bachelor's degree in Physics for Industry and Engineering. Throughout the time spent earning my degree, I primarily learned how to learn. There were countless topics that were covered in my degree, so I don't believe I am advanced in any one area. Primarily, I continued to refine how to approach new problems and topics and piece apart information into more manageable chunks. I have not found how to apply this degree in the real world that makes me happy, but I am okay with that. Outside of academics, I have grown up enjoying working with my hands and having the flexibility to add my own artistic touch to any project I would work on. I gain a deep level of satisfaction in being handy in a variety of physical ways. A small passion of mine is working and creating with wood; whether it be making cutting boards, framing a house, or building a garden. Athletically, I played and developed a solid skill base in soccer, rugby, wrestling, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Give me the opportunity to participate in any of these sports and I'll be there in a heartbeat.
Julia:
Back in the states, my favorite jobs included interacting with and meeting new people. I worked as a server in a Wisconsin-style restaurant for many years and grew bonds with our regular and new guests. Something about the idea of helping people nourish their bodies with natural food and yummy flavors really stuck with me, which is why I love to cook. I quickly moved to head server and had the opportunity to train new staff. I loved this because I was able to show how fulfilling it could be to serve the community. I felt like my true personality came out when I was in a lead position in hospitality.
This quality showed again when I was a house manager for a family on a ranch in Northern Wisconsin. My main job was to make the mothers life easier-to put it simply, and I thrived there. I would do school pick up/drop offs, schedule and taxi appointments, housekeep, and keep track of finances, to name a few. Outside of the house, I would take care of the horses, chickens, dogs and cats, garden the veggie patch, and help with landscaping. Here I developed the skill to learn as I went. I loved organizing my day in the most efficient way and staying busy. I'm always willing to learn and this family had much to teach.
I've learned very recently how much I enjoy spending time in the kitchen cooking vegetarian meals for others. Traveling to different countries means learning different techniques, flavor patterns and traditional recipes. I quite enjoy cooking for large groups in a community setting. Spreading knowledge through food of how to cook sustainably while also eating delicious tasting food and sharing great conversation is something I really care about.
I have experience working with horses, cows, cats, dogs, goats and more. My most favorite job working with animals is pampering them-grooming, walking and changing their normal routine by adding some play time.
The skill that brings me the most joy is gardening. I started gardening when I was 6 with my auntie in our massive garden in Wisconsin. She taught me the importance of knowing where your food comes from and how to be sustainable. I learned how to cultivate the land in a sustainable way without harming the ecosystems below and how to harvest seeds to reduce having to buy new seeds each year. I learned how to to preserve food in jars and how to keep a green house and high tunnel running year round. One of the best memories I have with her was pulling beautiful carrots from the ground in the warm high-tunnel in February with 2 feet of snow on the ground outside.
These are skills that I'll carry with me everywhere I go and am forever grateful for. I hope to eventually have my own sustainable homestead where I can teach little minds about the importance of growing your own food.
I also have experience with technology and and can run many programs in Microsoft and personally run our travel blog on social media.Idade

Primarily we are vegan/vegetarian, but we base this not only on our moral and ethical standards, but also our ability to maintain a healthy diet provided we have access to a wide variety of vegan/veggie items. We are willing to step outside of this diet,
