My name is Anna, I am 25 years old and come from the Czech Republic. I live now in a flat in Prague with my boyfriend, but I am also in a close contact with my parents, grandparents and 2 sisters. I grew up in a village close to Prague, where we had a garden and always some cats, hens, rabbits and a dog. I study General Medicine in Prague, I have just finnished the 5th year.

I would say, that I am an easy-going, friendly and helpful person, who always enjoyes trying, learning and seeing new things and likes to spend time with people. I am a scout - I used to lead a group of children togehther with my friends. I like nature, animals, hiking, scouting, sports, cooking, learning languages, singing in a choir, being/working with people and travelling. I really like to spend some time living abroad from time to time: At high-school I spent for example a year in Germany living with a host-family, last year I went on an Erasmus Programme to Italy, I made some medical intern-ships and volunteering abroad. I already have some workaway-experience which I always enjoyed a lot (I have been twice in Italy and France, in Norway and Romania, working usually outside in the garden/ on a farm/ playing with kids or helping in the house). I am ready to work outside and physically, but also with children or indoors, depends on your needs.
I am looking forward to have another Workaway-experience, because I am convinced, that it is one of the best ways to travel, to explore new cultures and to learn new languages!!

I can teach German (I have some experience already.) I really like to work outside and with animals (We have always had many animals at home.), children (I have already worked with children - scouting, teaching how to play flute) and (elderly) people (I have worked at a hospital / rehabilitation centre). I am flexible and like challenges and trying new things. I am reliable and thorough.

I really would like to live with a host-family and be a real part of it, as it is the best way to explore a different culture. I would like to help on a farm, with animals and children or any other sort of work.

I spent (unfortunately only) 11 days in February 2020 (just when the Covid pandemic was starting and there were the first cases in Italy) in Montelabate with Luisa, Gabriel, Teresa, Bianca, Flora, Celeste, a lot of their cats and the dog Pepi. I stayed with this welcoming and warm-hearted family for 10 days in August. I was there with another 3 volunteers, a girl from the USA and a Swiss couple.
The house was pretty full and sometimes it got a bit crowded in the kitchen, but it didn't matter and I think that everybody was enjoying the nice "chaos" and the lively relaxed and spontaneous … read more ambience. It felt like we were one big family sharing the house together, speaking 3 different languages and sharing many funny moments.

In the mornings we usually used to go to the plantation to work for a few hours. The work consisted of trimming the blackberry plants, picking blackberries (you can't imagine how huge and tasty they are!) and building a wooden roof behind the camper. Sometimes we were also looking after the children and playing with little Alex.

At noon we used to come home and eat altogether - eating with so many people at the small table was always a big event and great fun :-) All the food I had there was mainly vegan (because one of the volunteers was vegan) and made out of seasonal and local vegetables, fruits and other natural ingredients and was just DELICIOUS! I would say that I am kind of a gourmet (and so is the family :-)) and I loved all the food they prepared and asked for many recipes.
Me and the other volunteer also baked a cake with the blackberries and made an ice-cream out of them. I used to warm the berries up and add them into my porridge or eat them just as a snack during the work on the plantation. Also the marmelades were just gorgeous, I was given two of them to take home :-)
So you are always supplied with plenty of berries and can eat them in any way you like!

In my free afternoons I used to go exploring the village and the traditional Romanian countryside life (All the local people always waved and greeted me, sometimes even started a conversation in Romanian! :D) or to go on a bike ride with Alex; I went to visit the Monastery, the viaduct, the beautifully renovated church, Brasov and Bran Castle... Once Daniela even took us on a hike to the Piatra Crauilui mountains!

The boys were very lively, open and friendly, they both weren't shy at all to speak English with us (even the five-year-old Alex was able to communicate with us without bigger problems!)

Daniela and George are very hospitable, kind and caring people full of love, who always care if you feel good, they want to make you feel like at home as much as possible and enjoy talking to you and sharing their beliefs with you. At the same time you feel that they are very honest and straightforward and you can be sure, that if they tell you something, they really mean it like that - they always say what they really think.
You see, that they both really love what they are doing, love their kids, their homeland Romania and basically all their fellowmen, they are trying to lead a good nonmaterial life with the intention to be helpful and useful to the world and other people, looking for the spiritual ways and living for the right values.

From the first day on I felt very relaxed and welcomed there, with the feeling that nothing is a problem here :-)
I enjoyed my stay in Sinca Noua a lot, got a lot of inspiration, made new friends and would such an experience recommend to others!

I spent excellent two weeks with Adeline, Christophe, Juliette and Joshua in Vilsberg! I really liked living in their big house and vegetable garden. I enjoyed so much spending time with them, talking to them, learning new things, working both outside and in the house, playing with the children.
