Hello!
We are Amelia and Kim, 2 friends from Sydney Australia currently travelling through Canada on an open work permit.
We are loving exploring British Columbia and Alberta at the moment and open to any opportunities but would especially love roles that include food prep, gardening and plant care, working with animals and projects such as painting.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Amelia -
I am a friendly, proactive individual who loves all things outdoors and thrive when I have a project to work on. I have experience with house pets such as dogs and cats through pet sitting and am an Australian wildlife rescuer and carer so I am very comfortable around animals. I used to love horse riding when I was younger and although it’s been a while would love to be around horses as well. I love hiking and camping so have general outdoors knowledge and skills through these hobbies. I’m creative and love any hands-on project, painting, photography and anything artsy. My professional background is in customer service and marketing and I have over 5 years experience interacting with diverse groups of people. In addition to this, I have 2 years experience in the hospitality industry.

Kim -
I am a bubbly and positive person, who loves learning and the mastery of a new challenge.

I've over 5 years experience within the hospitality industry, in an array of roles which has allowed me a broad set of skills such as:
-Home style and commercial cookery
-Housekeeping/general maintenance
-Bartending/waitressing
-Entertaining guests and working with children

I've had various farm experience through helping out at my Aunts acherage as well as working at a remote farm style resort providing experience in:
-Planting, maintaning and harvesting produce plots
-Construction of fences, plots and general up keep
-Produce preparation
-Animal care (Chickens, pigs, dogs)

I also have experience within the personal injury field, which has instilled in me knowledge of:
-Occupational safety practices and injury prevention /management
-Admin/data management skills
-Coordinating stakeholders and conflict resolution
-Designing and delivering training programs

Amelia - I am a huge ice hockey fan and love sports generally which is what initially drew me to learn more about Canada. I also love swimming and surfing (although I’m definitely a beginner), reading and playing card games (racing demons is my favourite card game!) and board fames especially articulate.

Kim - I am a lover of adventure and the great outdoors. In my spare time I am usually on some sort of creative endeavour such as painting, writing or decorating my space! I love immersing myself in and learning about different walks of life.
