Dear future hosts,
I am 29 y.o. from Hamburg, Germany currently and constantly planning and preparing the next Adventures of my youth.
Since I am working as a Nurse in Emergency Room and quit my job, I am looking for new experiences to make this summer.
I am looking for places that nourish my inspiration, where I can be creative, in nature or helpful atleast.

I am quite conflicted with being a tourist since I don't support reckless or money-focused behaviour towards nature, local and habitats.
I am really not the biggest fan of touristic sightseeing points and searching for authentic and respectful cultural exchange.

Therefore I am on Workaway again and looking for places where I can offer my help, learn about other cultures, languages and explore the treasures of nature in an honest and fulfilling way.

I currently work as a nurse in ER and I’m looking forward to reguide my choices, be inspired by the future and also getting in touch with big mama nature again (Which can be quite difficult working in a hospital, living in the city)
Since my last time off in 2023 I was already able to make my first workaway experiences which lead me to some of the best experiences, learning and doing the most different things, I am really curious what else is around the corner.
My hobby is mostly being curious, trying new things, activities, D.I.Y.-projects and being creative.

So I am fastinated about languages and communication. I really try to learn a few things about the current language that sourrounds me and as I got to know the balkan culture a little better I tried to learn it online. A few basic things still stick to my vocabular. As I grew up I admired english, because I somehow felt like it could connect everyone. I had french in school but there's not too much that stick with me since school is quite a time ago now. I am trying to improve my poor spanish knowledge and I somehow get some context from understanding little bits, but I am just in the beginning of learning spanish. Reading and writing is a long loved passion of mine and I love to talk about books, poems or thoughts in any kind of language.

Quais são suas habilidades?
My Profession in Germany is studied nurse, but that won't help to build that carpet your planning to set up.
As I want to take a break from the City Life and Hospital, I'm really interested in Farm Life, Animal Care and Living in Nature. Animals were always a part of my life that I never want to miss so I hope, I can sourround myself with them a little more, while I'm abroad. As a child and teen I used to do horseback riding and I think I still know, how to pick up the horse droppings ;)

I would describe my manual skills as not as advanced or professional as I wished it to be, but most important: I'm really curious about how things are build. And as I grew up in a small village house with a garden & later got to live in a small apartment with a tiny garden on my own, I got really excited about trying many things around building and gardening.
So everytime I'm doing something around the house, I try to teach myself how to do it (bring up the wallpaper or skirting boards, revarnish the balcony wood, restore old furniture from the flewmarket etc.). I'm really interested in learning all the processes around building a house or a garden.

I think my best skill is that I learn fast & I am interested/motivated to learn. I think I am good at seeing things to do around and are willing to do them without someone to ask me. I'm also not afraid of doing hard physcial work and I love beeing outdoors, so count me in doing that fences in february!

I used to play Handball for 10 years and over the years I tried many kind of sports. I would say, that I am still interested in any kind of sport, being active and outdoors.
I love anything around animals and I can say that I care a lot for animals. I could spend hours with animals of any kind and be happy.
In my Free-Time I love to read, write and educate myself. I have many interests and I can really tell where to start.
So as you can see, I'm a mix of loud, active and adventurous and also quite, humble and calm.
I don't drink or do drugs & I am not looking for party locations. But now and then I love to put some good music on and dance

I don't know where to start when I think about my whole experience I had at viivi's paradise. I found this place nearly by accident and ended up having one of the most meaningful adventures in my life. First of all: Viivi was one of the people on workaway who are really kind and friendly over texting from second one. Sometimes it might seems like… read more a weird decision to drive in the middle of nowhere in winter, where even the bus driver in kuusamo is quite confused where you excactly want to go. And why. But I had a good gut feeling straight from the beginning talking to Viivi. So I didn't mind, switching my route to western finland, near russian border, driving through darkness and snow storms with a complete stranger, no idea where I am going. Got picked up by Pekka, who is not a man of big words, but became one of my best shy friends over the time I spend in Finland. Viivi welcomed me with a big hug and I felt welcomed from the first minute I met her. In my 4 weeks of staying in the middle of nowhere I learned, felt, laughed and envolved so much, that I can't put everything into this tiny box of feedback. But I can tell you: The more you're willing to give, the more you will receive.
Viivi is one kind of a woman! She's open, kind, thoughtful, funny & deep. All in one a multicomplex person like everyone of us. But what I liked the most about Viivi was her tenderness, her braveness and that she's never not willing to give everything. She shows her complexity and wears her heart on her tongue. I was welcomed, to be. Just to be. Who I am like really am, without judgement, without rejection, without hate. I got to get to know my soulsister and I loved, how we always found a way to connect, to exchange but also respect space for anothers selftime, having moments and emotional rollercoasters going on. I went to Viivi's place after having a really rough year, craving for growth, for change and for connecting with nature and earth again. And even that is high expectations, I found more than I was looking for. If you open up yourself to this physical, psychical, spiritual and nourishing journey, you'll get to places, feelings and thoughts you thought you'll never reach. But even Viivi welcomes everyone with an open heart and is really interested to make the best out of your stay, please be aware that this isn't a place for soulsucking people without pure intentions. Don't come here, if you're just searching for a place to stay for free or free food. Be ready for learning about yourself, nature, animal care, woodworks, sustainable living, love & human realtionships, past and future. Be ready to grow and be a part of the universe but be aware that it's also your responsibility to achieve all that as well. Viivi and her beautiful family do not deserve people that try to be selfish, rude or respectless. This is a beautiful place, where Viivi put a lot of work, creativity, sweat and love in and you should respect that in every way. It's a great oppurtunity to become a part of this beautiful mosaic of humans, natures beauty and animals.
For me, coming here was kind of finding my personal paradise. And yes, this also includes, cleaning stalls, cutting wool, hard body work, cold winters, sweat, dark hours, cooking, cleaning, be confronted with yourself, your past and your steps in life. But it's also full of enlightments, love, power, becoming stronger than you ever thought, finding peace and excitment in little things, finish sauna and cultural learning, big nature spectacles going on, signs from universe, spiritual and body changing, good and healthy foods, great talks, connecting with nature and finally yourself again. IF YOU ARE READY FOR IT! This isn't a place for everyone, but don't be afraid to give it a try. Viivi has such a good sense of people's heart, is an empowering and full of energy woman, which can put down the roughest guys you can imagine. But she's also sensitive, caring and loves full heartly. She was the best Guardian, Leader and Companion on this whole journey. And if you think, you might get bored in the Middle of Nature and Nowhere: There's always something adventureous or meaningful going on. You'll learn something everyday. You just have to pay attention to it ;)
