Hey there! I’m currently living in beautiful Banff, where I’ve been working in a hostel that’s part of the world’s largest hostel network, with over 3,000 hostels in 61 countries. I’ve really enjoyed this opportunity and will definitely miss the stunning mountains here, but it’s time for me to spend more time in the Dominican Republic.

I’ve been working in Banff for over a year now, handling cleaning and night security, and I’ve also worked at hostels in two other countries. I’m very friendly, responsible, and hardworking, and I love meeting new people and helping managers and owners with my experience. In my spare time, I enjoy running my e-commerce businesses, working on freelance graphic design projects, playing guitar, and exploring new places.

While, I have experience in other industries such as customer service, tech support, working with animals, and hospitality, working in hostels has been a great way for me to settle into new places, and with my plans to live in the Dominican Republic for a while, it would be the perfect way to explore the country while contributing to your team.

I’m looking for an opportunity for a couple of months starting from November 12th 2024, when I arrive in Santo Domingo, but I’d be happy to stay longer if it’s a great fit! Hello! I’m from Canada and have picked up a range of skills through different experiences, which I’m really excited to bring to a Workaway opportunity.

I’ve developed strong customer service and interpersonal skills by working closely with people in different environments. My management experience has taught me how to keep things running smoothly and stay organized. I’ve spent several years doing cleaning work, so I’m comfortable handling tasks that require attention to detail and care. Plus, I’ve worked with children and animals, which has been a great way to learn patience, adaptability, and how to handle unexpected situations—qualities that I know are valuable in a homesteading setting.

On the side, I run my own small e-commerce businesses and do freelance work, which has strengthened my tech skills and taught me how to be resourceful and independent. I also love learning languages! I speak decent Spanish and French and enjoy practicing whenever I can—especially in new environments!

I’m hardworking, reliable, and always ready to pitch in with whatever’s needed, whether it’s hands-on tasks, problem-solving, or learning new skills. In my free time, I love to do variety of activities that keep me feeling happy and inspired. I love playing guitar, whether I’m making up new tunes or just enjoying some music. Painting is another favorite of mine; it’s a fun way to get creative and try out different styles.

I also enjoy working on design projects and experimenting with new ideas. Music is always a big part of my day, adding a positive vibe to everything I do. I’m fascinated by science and enjoy learning about it in my spare time. Exploring business ideas and researching new topics is something I find both interesting and rewarding.

All of these hobbies really add a lot of joy and energy to my life!
