Hi, my name is Alex, I am a friendly, helpful and open-minded 56 year old person from Berlin/Germany, married with 2 kids (26 and 27).

Currently we spend a lot of time on Crete Island because we bought a house there.

Beside my fluent German I speak Englisch, Hungarian and gradually improve my Greek.

I worked almost 25 yers in the IT as a programmer and server administrator, but chose give this up and instead work with nature and people.

In my former workaway experiences in Ireland I did a lot in the garden, can paint, drill, chop wood, work with a chainsaw, and also tidy up or help in the kitchen.
Also no problem to get dirty and wake up early in the morning.

I am a non-smoker but like camp fires with intense talks.

Beside this, I am well organized and a good teamworker with a positive attitude. I am a typical German with planing ahead and the consequently working until a successful result. I am helpful and polite, accept the rules and love to solve problems.

My eating habits are the normal ones, I eat everything ... except oysters and other strange things from the see :) But have no problem with vegetarian or vegan food, but for sure I like a good steak :) and sometimes a cold beer after a long workday.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I like to work in a garden, or with animals, painting, chainsawing, chopping wood and repairing stuff. I can talk for hours about bees and beekeeping :) Sure I am a family guy, so housework is also no problem. I speak German, English, Hungarian and a very little French and Spanish, thus can help with language exchange. As working in the IT, I can teach computer related stuff like Programming or Server administration

I am driving a motorcycle and of course I like to chat about this hobby :)
Four years ago I started with beekeeping, and it is a perfect contrast to working in a bureau. I also harvest honey and sell it to neighbours and customers... ist a very conversational hobby!
Beside this I like hiking, my last tour was in Spain the camino via de la plata from Sevilla to Santiago de Compostella, almost 1000 km. My kids joined me for more than 200 kilometers.... it was hot, dusty and quite hard, but we like to tackle such extreme situations. I especially like to have fun with the kids, as they live with us and as long as they don't want to go their own way.
