Hello, we are Alex (27, United States) and Emma (27, Spain). We have been together for 5 years and between us we speak English and Catalan and we also mix French and sometimes Spanish.

We are passionate about languages, both teaching and learning them, with everything that this entails: getting to know the country, the people, the culture, the traditions, etc. We are also lovers of mountain sports such as hiking, trail-running and climbing.

This year, during the months of January, February and/or March we would like to live in a tropical, beach area while learning and volunteering. We want to have new experiences and join a family or work in a team.

Quais são suas habilidades?

As teachers, we are both excellent communicators, organizers, team builders, and creators. We have taught various languages (English, French, Spanish, and Catalan) to different ages and levels all around the world. By teaching and traveling, we have learned adapt quickly to new experiences and situations.

Furthermore, Emma has volunteered with the scouts in her region as counselor, as the social media manager, and as the responsible of pedagogy. She also has expertise in sewing. Alex has volunteered at a regenerative farm, written an opinion column for his university newspaper, and he runs a small association that fundraisers for Senegal, where he has lived.

Emma sings in a choir, plays the guitar, and enjoys baking. Alex plays basketball, plays the ukulele, and practices yoga daily. We also foster cats and walk dogs at the local animal shelter.
