We’re an English couple travelling the world! Excited to embrace new cultures, while sharing some our own, as volunteers in Vietnam.

We most enjoy socialising, the outdoors and working with children. Both of us have worked with kids in England and have a great respect for education.

We also love animals, especially cats and dogs, having grown up with them at home, and are both nature lovers who enjoy getting our hands dirty.

As a couple of eight years, we share a love for southeast Asian food and culture - and look forward to experiencing even more in 2025!

Barnaby: I’m a 32-year-old man from Portsmouth, England. I have a professional background in journalism and marketing, also having worked with the elderly and vulnerable children in the past. I’m a big football fan and love playing sports! I’m looking forward to sharing this passion with anyone I’m lucky enough to meet.

Zhane: I’m a 26-year-old woman from Bournemouth, England. I work in digital marketing, with a degree in fashion marketing and additional work experience with children and outdoor projects. I’m a big sister to six siblings, so I’m used to cooking, cleaning and getting messy. In my spare time, I love music and getting creative with arts and crafts!

Quais são suas habilidades?

While we both enjoy corporate marketing careers in England, we are currently taking the opportunity of a lifetime to explore new cultures by travelling in Southeast Asia!

Zhane: I have a degree in fashion marketing from the University of Leeds, England. I have worked in digital marketing and online retail since graduating in 2021. Before this, I worked with children aged 14-17 as part of a nationwide social programme. This work was residential, with a focus on team building and educational activities to encourage participants to understand different perspectives as well as getting involved in the local community. Through this work, we renovated a play school indoor and outdoor area, improved a community garden and worked with the elderly.

Barnaby: I earned a diploma in journalism from the National Council for the Training of Journalists before working as a national newspaper reporter for five years. Following that, I transitioned into marketing and public relations, where I have been for three years and currently operate at director level. In additional to this, I have worked as a carer for the elderly and as a support worker for children with learning difficulties.
