Hello out there 🌞
My name is Zsofia, I am a 27 year old doctor from Germany . Since I just finished med. school, the last 6 years were pretty exhausting mentally - between endless days and nights of studying, internships, exams etc. there was not much time for adventure and that’s why I am so looking forward to catch up and see as many amazing places as possible. I have done 6 months of work and travel before, when I finished Highschool, and I absolutely loved it. Also, I started being a petsitter since last year, and was lucky enough to get the opportunity to take care of pets and visit 2 countries at the same time. I am an outgoing person who loves to get to know new people and places and that is why I am planning to spend a whole year travelling before I finally start working as a doctor. My current plan is to specialise as a paediatrician, internist or neurologist, but let’s see what happens :)
I speak German and Hungarian as my mother tongue, English and Spanish pretty well, and also know some basics in French and Italian. My dream is it to improve my Spanish, so that I can speak it perfectly.
In my free time, I like to meet friends, play card games, read, cook, do sports and go hiking in the mountains. I also started doing embroidery which I enjoy really much.
About me working, I am a learning by doing kind of person - I am motivated and think that every duty would more or less work out. After 6 long years of uni, I can’t wait to get my hands dirty again!
I like working with people the most, including working with children, but also basic cleaning/cooking/gardening chores work out for me, or whatever else there is to do. Just tell me about it and we’ll find a way :)

Quais são suas habilidades?

I would like to make a list of things I am confident to do:
-working with children
-working with people in general (I speak German, Hungarian, English, Spanish and a bit of Italian and French, so maybe that works out well in and environment with many tourists)
-cooking/cleaning/chores around the house
-gardening
-painting walls
-taking care of pets (feeding, playing, going on walks)
-managing social media

During my work and travel in Australia, I used to be a waitress, hostel staff, babysitter and petsitter. At home, I worked in restaurants as well, and also as a nurse more or less (those were jobs for students, 5-10h a week I helped out at the hospital and took care of patients). Since covid, I have many Homeoffice-jobs, basically creating medical content for websites.
When I plan to start my year abroad, I’ll be a doctor, so I’ll also be able to do general medical support (taking care of wounds/do stitches/basic emergency support).
This is basically what I thought of right now, but whatever it’ll be, I think I’ll find a way to do it :)

In my free time, I love to go hiking in the mountains. That is a new hobby I discovered in Switzerland during my internships in internal medicine. Reading and doing embroidery are also quite relaxing for me, and also, watching “friends” on Netflix (I probably know every episode by heart by now..).
I’m also interested in playing cards and learning new card games. When I was a teenager, I played the piano pretty well, but unfortunately didn’t continue to practice the past few years.
