Hello there, my name is Yve, I live in Brighton a city on the south coast of England. I’ve been a High School librarian in a small girl’s school in the south of England for over ten years. I’m also an avid traveler, working in Education has meant that I can take advantage of the long holiday breaks. I'm also an Ashtanga yoga practitioner, a Nichiren Buddhist and a singer of traditional English folk tunes as part of a choir!
I'm an energetic, trustworthy, reliable and considerate person. I'm also CRB-checked as it's a requirement of working in Education - a person you can be assured will respect your home or business.
Being a member of Workaway, means that I can do the thing I love the most - travel, while also helping others either in a family setting or as part of a team. It think it's a great way of finding out more about a people, their country and culture.

Quais são suas habilidades?
I have worked with children and young people since 2006, from nursery age through to sixteen years. I am very comfortable talking with and doing activities with babies and children of all ages.
I'm a good cook of vegan and vegetarian food, love pets of all kinds and am happy to do some gardening although I'm not an expert!
I'm computer literate and fast on a keyboard and enjoy working on the telephone as I used to run my own sales company.
I'm happy to do some conversational English practice, non native speakers tell me that my accent is clear and easy to understand.

I enjoy the warm weather and would ideally like to spend my travel time somewhere warm as UK is so cold, wet and windy! Being outdoors in nature walking or hiking is a wonderful way to spend my free time.
My passions are listening to music and I'm a film aficionado. I volunteer as a film usher at an independent cinema, so I tend to go to see a new movie every week. I also love reading, as I'm a school librarian, I read a lot of teen fiction and regularly read to the children in the the school nursery.
