Hi, here it's Vero, I'm now on the verge of the scary 30s...(but still 29!). I'm Italian but I currently live in Germany, where I work full time as a project manager. I studied German at University and decided to give it a try and live in Germany for a bit...it's been now four years and I love it here!
I love to travel and see the world, but I'm also very close with my family.
My family is big and mutli-generational but still very united. We love spending time together doing family activities.
I've had experience with Workaway almost ten years ago, when I stayed in an idyllic village in Austria with a wonderful family.
I also spent one year in the USA during high school as an exchange program and did two Erasmus experiences, both in Germany.
I'm now looking to have a couple sabbatical months to travel the world when I turn 30 so that the gorwing old does not taste so bitter :)

I studied languages all my life and I myself now live in Germany, where I moved in orther to improve the language. I would love to learn more languages as well as to teach the ones I know!

Quais são suas habilidades?
Because of my studies and my being an expat, I have have experience in teaching and learning languages and in working as well as living in very international environments. I've had experience of baby-sitting and helping children with homework. I like taking care of the house, of animals and the shopping. I would like to spend more time in nature. Moreover I have a European driving license.

I'm a very active and social person, I tend to relax when I'm around people and when my head is focused on something. I'm very curious by nature and love to learn new things and meet new people. Since I moved around a lot for exchange programs and now for my career, I know how to be flexible and like to adapt to new situations, I think it's an enrichment! One of my landlords/flatmates once told me that she loved to share her apartment with people because it keeps your mind open and prevents you from closing in on yourself, which I always found very right for me too!
I currently work full time in the office, but when I log off I do sports (pole dance, calisthenics and gym), I go out with friends to parties but also art galleries or book readings or poetry slams. My favourite evenings are the ones I spend reading or watching Netflix or sit in the kitchen with my flatmate and best friend.
Random facts to top it all:
- I love coffee from the Bialetti (the old Italian stove machine)
- I'm a terrible cooker but love the "sobremesa" moments with family and friends
- I call my mom almost every day becasue she's the ultimate adult in my life
- I would ride my bike literally everywhere
- Some people say I'm more German than Italian
