Heyo lovely human(s),
my name is Vanessa Pedilarco, and in September I’m beginning a new chapter – a long journey through Europe and beyond, starting in Sicily, where my parents grew up.
I feel a strong call to go back to my roots – to reconnect with the land, the language and the culture, and to improve my Italian along the way.
I want to experience what it’s really like to live somewhere for a few weeks or longer – to become part of everyday life, to help, contribute, learn and share. I’m looking for a place where I can slow down, connect with the land and the people, and truly arrive for a little while.
I’m a free spirit and a curious soul. I love deep conversations, good food, laughter, music and being fully in the moment. I love creating beauty around me – whether through food, music, movement, photography, a beautiful space or simply the atmosphere we co-create together.
Music and movement are a big part of my life. I love singing, making music and dancing. I also enjoy photography and videography and work independently in the field of holistic wellbeing, food, body awareness and creative projects.
I’m vegan and gluten-free and absolutely love cooking – especially for several people. I enjoy creating spontaneous meals from whatever is there: hearty stews, pan dishes, homemade bread and my own little version of “world cuisine”. For me, cooking is often about intuition, creativity and making something delicious out of what you have.
I’m happy to help with pretty much anything: gardening, animals, cooking, cleaning, organising (love it!), creative projects, social media, photography, simple practical work or simply wherever an extra pair of hands is needed. I have experience with pets and some practical work, and I’m always happy to learn something new.
I believe home is something I carry within me.

I enjoy cooking, am good with household tasks and have a very good connection with animals. I also have skills in photography, videography and Canva, as well as basic computer skills.
I love connecting with all kinds of people. I have worked in a school for about 2 years and with elderly people for over 1 year.
I’m a quick learner, enjoy working with my hands and am happy to help wherever I can :) -

We were staying in the house for over 2 months and saw the project grow.
