Hey everyone,
I am Inga, currently on the road for undefined time. I am an easy-going, open minded and curious human who likes to enjoy the little things in life as well as the big ones. I love exploring the world around me. There is so much to see, learn and experience that I became kind of addicted to it.

I prefer waking up at sunrise in a tent on a mountain, rather than staying in fancy hotels. I prefer getting to know a country deeply, rather than rushing through the world and tick off sightseeing highlights. I prefer to collect moments and experiences, rather than money & material stuff.
I am the happiest version of myself when l am able to grab my backpack and go wherever i feel like, do whatever feels right, without plans and time limit. This is pure luxury to me. I am well aware that this is a privilege and I am very thankful to have this opportunity.

I'm excited to meet new people, hear their stories, share food & coffee, learn about their culture and embrace the experiences as they unfold day to day.

In my „normal“ life I am an art director in design & communication, but I have to escape the routine every once in a while. So I established a lifestyle where I am working two ot three years, followed by a couple of years of traveling, learning and doing completely different things. This is where my inspiration and strength comes from.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I like to say: I am an expert in nothing but pretty good in a variety of different things :-) there are simply to many things in life, to focus on just one topic.

I love to cook. It's kind of a passion. I am not a professional cook but people have told me that I am not bad in it ;-)
please note: I am vegetarian/vegan and won't prepare any meat or fish.

Beeing an art director in design & communication I consider myself a creative person. I am able to design Logos, websites, brochures, presentations, posters e.g. However, I am traveling without my computer and the programs I need for that kind of work and can only do basic stuff in canvas on my phone at the moment. If you are looking for someone to pimp your instagram I might be a help...

I am good in organizing and tacking things in general. I consider myself a creative hands-on-Person when it comes to building, gardening or housekeeping. I can adapt quickly to new tasks and I am a master of improvisation. Also I do enjoy physical work.

Even though I am new on workaway I have lots of experiences in volunteering and working in different fields.
I “run” a camping/hostel in the Mauretanien desert, I entertained kids in a daycare “kids club” of a 7-day festival in Slowenia, I housesitted a mansion including cats, dog and horses in austria, I run an ice cream shop in Australia, was a barista & waitress in a cafe, wrapped presents in a department store at Christmas and worked with an NGO supporting people on the move in a community center.
In my hometown Düsseldorf I was part of a charity dinner project where we have been cooking for 50-80 persons twice a month. And I have been an embassador of our local foodsharing community.

I am really interested in "alternative" ways of living:
Living self sufficient & sustainable in communitys/community based projects. I am a very independent person, but I like to work and live in a team with like minded people.

I am very interested in learning about farming, especially sustainable ways of farming like permaculture.
I enjoy being outdoors with nature around me.
Not long ago I started to practice yoga and I would like to improve my skills and learn more about the philosophy around that.
