We're currently in Australia and flexible about where to visit so looking for any opportunity that catches our eye. Mainly farm work, sailing opportunities and conservation projects.

Hi! We're Sorrel and Tom - a couple in our mid-20s from the UK who've moved to Australia on our work-holiday visas for the next year or so. We're currently travelling around as well as ticking off our 88 days, so we're interested in getting stuck in with a whole range of activities while we're here!

Since being in Aussie we've apple picked in Tassie, done some workawaying there too on a small olive grove and blueberry picked in Coffs Harbour, NSW. Before that we spent the past two years living in Sorrel's home country, the Falkland Islands - a remote, ruralised archipelago in the South Atlantic.

We're both quite naturally drawn to the outdoors and conservation/eco-type projects, both strong communicators and definitely have the travel bug! We're physically fit and hard workers who would be keen to get stuck in to a whole range of opportunities wherever they come up :)

Quais são suas habilidades?

Manual Labour - We're both physically fit and very hard workers. While in Australia we've done several fruit picking jobs (apples and blueberries) as well as Workawayed as farm hands on a small olive grove. Here we tried our hands at a range of difficult activities - weeding, building a deck, harvesting olives and general help around the house and with the kids. We're also quite outdoorsy in our interests (trekking/hiking) so we are not shy of being out in the sun and getting our hands dirty!

Customer Service - We've both worked several years in the hospitality industry in pubs, bars and restaurants in the UK and the Falkland Islands.

Communication - Sorrel has 3 years experience in the public relations and communications industry, with strong written and verbal communication skills for a range of audiences, including UK national press. She is skilled in creating content for and managing corporate social media accounts, websites, publications as well as general press comms material.

As a sales person, Tom has strong skills dealing with customers and personal communication.

We are both highly organised individuals; Tom having a background in logistics and tour managing and Sorrel through her work organising fundraising events for Falklands Conservation.

First-Aid Qualified - We both have a level 3 certification in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW).

Tom specifically:

Tour Guiding - Tom is UK Mountain Leader trained (syllabus includes group management, navigation, health & safety best practice, and emergency response in mountain environments) and is also an Accredited Falkland Islands Tour Guide.

Cooking - Tom enjoys cooking on a daily basis and is comfortable cooking for large groups of people/guests. He takes inspiration from various cuisines around the planet and is happy catering for different diets.

Photography - Tom is a self-taught amateur photographer with a focus on landscapes and wildlife. His work can be seen on instagram @Hiker_pip

Sorrel specifically:

In addition to her professional skills, Sorrel has a range of qualifications in her hobbies and other activities. These include BSAC Ocean Diver, an HGV (Class C) driving licence, and Grade 6 Piano qualifications.

Sorrel has previously taught piano to children under 10 and is generally interested in all things musical.
