Hi, my name is Mathilde, and I'm from France 🇫🇷

I'm serious, but I don't take myself too serious!

I think I’ve always been determined—ever since I could work, I did to make my dream happen: set off on a world tour with no return date.
It’s been six months since I left, and people often ask me, “Why did you go?” The truth is, I’ve always been curious and hungry for adventure. What makes me deeply happy is what I call the nostalgia of the present—the joy of knowing that this very moment will one day be a cherished memory.

I love sharing simple moments, taking the time to travel slowly, immersing myself in new cultures, learning their codes and values, meeting strangers who become friends, listening to life stories to better shape my own, and being amazed by everything with the eyes of a child.

I’ve made my sensitivity and creativity my profession—I’m an art director. I love my job, but I’ve missed the hands-on side of things: living real human experiences and working with my hands. I’m sociable, open-minded, and full of energy. I love people and deeply believe in humanity.

For me, Workaway is about taking part in meaningful projects that align with my values. I’m a perfectionist who appreciates a job well done, and I care about respecting the DNA of the place I’m in—helping it live and shine.

Quais são suas habilidades?

🎨 Artistic Sensibility

Since childhood, I’ve been a creative person: I love writing, drawing, painting, sewing, pottery, sculpting, jewelry making, building furniture, and crafting objects. ’ve always been very resourceful and a fast learner — I know how to tinker and repair things. Later, I decided to turn my passion into my profession; I am now a freelance Art Director. My work is diverse and includes creating visual identities, illustration, motion design, photography, videography, photo retouching and video editing, as well as social media management.

🧚🏻 Versatility

Since reaching adulthood, I’ve taken on several jobs to finance my travels. I’ve worked in kitchens, as a waitress, in sales, in customer relations, and in factories. I enjoy challenging myself and learning new skills.

🤝🏼 Volunteering

Before joining the platform, I had the opportunity to volunteer in hostels where I carried out various tasks: receptionist, housekeeping, laundry, and creating and organizing events and activities. Having attended many summer camps when I was younger, and thanks to my outgoing personality, I love leading creative workshops, painting murals, doing sports, or organizing social evenings with guests. I also had the chance to work with a French humanitarian association (La croix Rouge) and with an artistic collective (La Maison Nectar).
