I am an easy-going person who has no problems with learning new things. In particular I have been doing a little practice in Permaculture at home in Indonesia and I am keen to gain more experience by helping Workaway Hosts achieve their Permaculture or Organic gardening goals.

I am an adventurous nomadic person who loves to travel with the focus at the moment on hiking and camping in Europe, Balkans and the Caucasus this being a continuation of the previous 2 year’s multi-day hiking and camping trips in Eastern Europe, Turkey and the Caucasus. Completing hikes such as the 500km+ Lycian Way, in Turkey and the 440km Via Egnatia from Greece to Albania and in Switzerland. In 2022, 1200km through Georgia and Armenia. 2023, 500kms through the Bosnia and Montenegrin mountains

I am also running my own https://thebackpackinghiker.com blog which has been a steep learning curve technology wise, but interesting as well.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Operations Management, Construction, Machine Operating, Permaculture, Renovation, Hostel volunteering, House Sitting, Dog sitting, Life Coaching, Experienced traveller, Hiker. Indoor/outdoor climbing.

I have completed projects such as helping in a long term property renovations and construction, including gardens or even house sitting. I am a very self motivated person who has run my own businesses, operated heavy machinery and large complicated plants in the mining industry, I have also been a Supervisor/trainer in the mining industry in different countries, plus I have done basic renovations of my own rental properties painting and repairs, gardening.

Started to learn the principles of permaculture and put in some practice in Indonesia. A lot more to learn, I know how to grow Dragon fruit.

I have completed a Workaway on a Permaculture/Bio Dynamic farm where I operated a Excavator and developed terraces and swales on a hillside. (See photos).

In Switzerland I completed 11 months working for food and accommodation, a private setup not through Workaway. The work involved was gardening i.e. weeding, building terraces, constructing fences, removing trees, digging gardens. House renovation i.e. Eco friendly using a number of different materials in internal wall construction, cement plastering, milk carton insulation etc.

Another Workaway, multiple times in Switzerland was maintenance and basic construction projects for a Host i.e. a partially underground Green House, a small workshop 6 months.

During my time off i do indoor and outdoor rock climbing, glacier trekking and camping, skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking, igloo and snow cave building, multiday hiking, camping expeditions. Plus building my online Life Coaching business.

In Turkey August 2022, I spent a week doing Workaway in a Climbing Camp at Geyikbayiri outside Antalya. A week of doing maintenance around the camp and helping improve their website.

I have traveled to more than 100 countries, some multiple times, also some long term travel. Lived in 5.

I am also interested in house-sitting. I can look after your house/property/pets/look after the garden, while you have a vacation knowing that your home is being looked after.

I have worked in Moosica Hostel, Tbilisi, Georgia for 1 month as a volunteer. All hostel duties, Check in/out.etc.
