I hope you are having a great day! My name is Tereza. I am 19 years old and I live in Olomouc, Czech republic. I am studying Nanomaterial chemistry. Beside school I am a volunteer at AFS and thanks to them I accomodated one student from Thailand and one from Germany. Both were living at my house for a while. I have been working at the Science technological center in Ostrava as an animator, camp leader,science teacher for 5 year now.

My hobbies also include reading, especially self-development books because I love the idea that I can do anything just with my mind and my strong will. I also love painting and drawing, it is some kind of therapy to my mind. I am keen on photography. My passion is also school, my favorite subjects are Chemistry, Physics and languages. I have a dog and he is my favorite hobby because I love dogs and I feel that I can be myself around them because dogs are not gonna judge you for doing something bad.

Quais são suas habilidades?

As for my personal characteristics I am said to be a really kind person, sometimes maybe too kind, but I do not see it as a negative trait at all because the kindness you give to the world will come back to you someday and that is the main reason why I want to do volunteering abroad. I am the type of person who has so much positive energy for the reason that I love to be happy all the time and I would love to pass on my positive energy for good things. Volunteering at AFS teaches me that it is important to explore new cultures together, showing people something new, something to think about, make changes in our culture and learn from others. and maily help each other because it is most important to me as a future doctor. I learned the most important thing in my life, I do not overcome myself, I will stay at the same level I am. So I started to challenge myself and I am trying everyday to get out of my comfort zone.I also want to improve my English and mostly Spanish as I am more insecure about it. I am also looking forward to learning new things, becoming better at organization, meeting new people and learning something new about Spanish culture.

Unfortunately I have some negative traits as well. Sometimes I bite off more than one can chew for the reason that I hit the books, try to help everybody, burn the midnight oil, split hairs about everything, but than my dad draw me the line, shows me that I do not need to be perfect, I do not need to have everything perfect. So I started to do things differently and do things in a more funny or better way for me.
