Happy to be traveling and excited for new experiences and for getting to know different people and cultures .

Hi, we are Teresa (27) and Mario (30) – two English and Sports teachers with a passion for people and culture!

We are outgoing and energetic who thrive in new environments and enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life. Originally from Austria, we’ve been traveling and working in different countries while having great experiences.

As English and sports teachers, we love helping others learn through movement, creativity, and fun. We are both sports enthusiasts and love to spend our days actively. Mountain sports are our main passion, but you can also find us playing beach volleyball, doing parkour, going surfing (if at the ocean) and all else there is inbetween.

Outside of teaching, you’ll often find us behind a camera — through photography and videography we try to capture the beauty and stories of the places, people & cultures we meet along the way.

Music is another thing we are passionate about — Teresa being more on the listening and dancing side while Mario enjoys sharing tunes on a guitar with new friends.

We also love to explore new cultures. Trying out local food, getting to know different and alternative ways of life or immersing in local customs, we always try to get to know places and not just rush through.

Having worked and studied abroad in diverse settings, we´ve developed open-mindedness and learned to adapt to new and also challenging environments. We are reliable, proactive, and always eager to lend a hand wherever it’s needed.

We believe in cultural exchange and learning from each others, which is why we love to become part of the Workaway community.

We both got expertise in teaching English and sports.

With experiences in:

Mario:
- basic construction and hard labour (garbage collection, surf camp maintenance, trail building)
- photo and video editing
- social media (for South African lodge)
- teaching ski and snowboard
- hospitality (military (kitchen hand, waiter, bar), basic duties during workaway at surf camp in Mexico and South Africa, helping guests with everyday needs, cleaning duties, kitchen duties)

Teresa:
- photographing and editing
- social media (for South African lodge)
- waitressing in café/restaurants
- child care, housework (au pair in San Francisco)
- teaching various sports in clubs, camps, competitions
- easy construction work at trampoline park (painting walls, fill in holes)
- cooking and baking
