  • Descrição

Hello! My name is Sol Sophia. I was born and raised in Berlin and have Colombian roots. I travel with a passion. Discovering new places, cultures, and people greatly inspires me. I believe movement is necessary to stay connected with life and in the flow.
Since 2019, I’ve been dedicated to a special project: bringing new life to an old campsite. Since 2022, I’ve been running it together with my husband Paul, who is from California.
Through the years of restoring and running our campsite, I have gained experience in construction and carpentry, working confidently with tools and wood, and managing a variety of building projects. Beyond the technical side, I have learned how to organize and oversee projects and balancing creativity with practical problem solving. My passion for art often flows into my work, whether it’s designing spaces, adding artistic touches, or finding creative solutions. Above all, I truly enjoy working with my hands, turning ideas into reality, and contributing to projects.
In my time traveling in south America I had the pleasure of working on a really nice secluded farm in the mountains, helping to build their vision together. Building huts out of clay and helping in the gardens, cooking food and making fire. I enjoy being connected to nature and being able to work in it, with it and for it.
I would describe myself as an open minded person who may need a moment to warm up, but once I do, I am confident and a strong team player. I am comfortable following instructions, yet I also enjoy taking initiative, creating my own projects, and finding inspiration easily.

  • Quais são suas habilidades?

As mentioned above, I have experience working with tools, woodworking, and clay work. I renovated 3 holiday flats, installed kitchens, put in new tiling and woodfloors. I also enjoy gardening and helping with cooking, cleaning, or whatever else needs to be done. I am eager to learn new skills as well.
My husband Paul installed photovoltaic systems for a decade in the United States. He also has a very green thumb, and our garden at home truly flourishes under his care.He is versatile and highly skilled with practical tasks. On our campground, Paul especially enjoys organizing fun activities with children. For example, he loves making our trailer cozy with cushions and giving the children rides around the campsite and to the nearby farm.
