Hello! My name is Evelyn, and I’m traveling through South America for the first part of 2025. I’m a creative, hardworking person who loves the planet and travels for the trees. Music is a big part of my life—I play a few instruments and love music in all its forms. I also create art in many different mediums, both for myself and for others. I spend a lot of time outdoors, exploring nature with my pets whenever I can. Having lived in rural places most of my life, I’ve learned how to homestead in different ways and across different terrains. I have almost always lived somewhere where we grow our own food and care for small livestock. I love animals of all kinds and feel strongly about their right to a good life. Traveling is a way for me to learn, expand my perspectives, and experience new ways of living. I believe exploring the world is an incredible privilege, and I want to give back as much as possible while I travel—that’s one of the reasons I’m drawn to Workaway. I love learning from the lives and communities that people have built, and I look forward to connecting, helping, and sharing experiences with you!

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have pet and house sit for 6 years with a variety of animals and amounts of land. I have lots of references for both house and animal sitting. I have grown up on a farm most of my life and have experience working with livestock of various sizes. I have experience working with plants and tending larger gardens. I have worked in restaurant and bar kitchens for the past 5 years. I have worked in a bakery most recently for the past 2 years. I have done different graphic design projects for various companies. Such as stickers, flyers, shirts and other merch designs. I can do some social media managing and marketing. I don’t mind getting my hands dirty—whether it’s cooking, cleaning, or working outdoors. I’ve cleaned houses on and off alongside other jobs. I’m always up for a challenge. I’m strong, healthy, and love physical work, especially when I get to be outside. More than anything, I’m a hard worker who’s always eager to learn something new and help where I can.

I love nature, music and art so very much! I spend most of my time, when I'm not working, on one of those three things. I was raised mostly in rural areas without a lot of access to convivence and because I have a lot of hobbies. I can spend a lot of time alone just creating with and exploring what's around me. I love to explore and try new things, I try and keep an open mind and an open ear when it comes to the world! I really love animals and I have a lot of experience taking care of a large variety of nonhuman beings. I love and respect nature and I want to do anything I can to show that. I live with my younger brother also, he's the best and being an active part in his growing up has been incredible. I enjoy and love all children! I think they're fun to learn from and with and just in general I think they're really magical! I love to travel! I'm hoping through workaway to find more experiences where I can give back and learn more skills to help the people, animals, and earth around me! I want to show my gratitude for this incredible planet and all it holds in as many ways as I can.
