Hello ! I'm Sarah, a 22 year old French girl just trying to discover the world and have some fun while doing it ! I've lived my entire life with my family in the north of France, but I'm currently studying laws in Paris at La sorbonne.

I've always felt this thirth to meet new people, go on adventure and travel the world, and apparently this site is my golden ticket. Although I'm young, I've traveled a lot and I've met some amazing people and families, sharing our opinions, cultures and languages. I'm pretty good with languages, but I will say that it's been 2 years since I last spoke in Italian... so it does need to be refreshed a little bit.

I'm a harworker and will help you with anything you need, and will use the extra time to discover the city/country you live in !

My friends usually describe me as really sociable, generous and easygoing. Oh and I also love all sorts of sports, especially swimming, hiking, and running. Unfortunately, I'm not a really good cook which is kind of a shame since I love food so much.. And finally, I'm very fond of reading, I'll bring some books and be happy to share with you what I got!

Quais são suas habilidades?
As I said before, I'm a law student, and therefore I love reading, and since I want to study international laws, I'm pretty good with languages, especially French, English, Italian and Spanish, and I'm planning on learning German this year !

However, in order to have some money to spend on travelling or vacations, I've been an activity leader for 5 years now on summer break, in summer camps with children and teenagers, all over France, from the north to the south. So I would say that I'm a pretty good care taker, even with animals (I'm really comfortable with all sorts of animals and pets).

I'm also a really good swimmer since I've been practicing even since I was a child. Painting and redecorating are also some of my favorite thing, as well as photography (I'm really good with social medias, videos, photos etc..)
I can easily talk to strangers since I'm not shy at all.. and I loveeee most of all discovering new things, all sorts of things, I'm really really curious and will love to discover your culture, life and job or whatever it is you do for a living..

Deixado pelo Workawayer (Sarah) para o anfitrião (Family garden and art hub in ...)

My stay with Trina, Sam, Alex, Conny, Bluey and the other workawayers (Vera and Zoe) was a dream come true. It surpassed everything I was expecting. From the minute I met Sam and Trina I felt welcomed and comfortable, and as I arrived late in the afternoon Sam Immediately offered me a drink that I took down to the pool for a quick swim before… read more dinner (what a welcome right?).

To talk about the place itself first, the landscape, the sunrise and sunset, te house (and the biggest bed I've ever slept in), the amazing garden (so huge I got lost on my first day walking around the beautiful plants and trees), the chapel, the long walk to get to the house, the pool and the studio, EVERYTHING there felt like an Italian dream, like what you normally only see in movies, and I could not believe how lucky I was to have ended up there for my first workaway experience, and I still feel so grateful.

This place feels like a home I could go back to and feel immediately at peace and at my happiest, mostly because Trina and Sam are suck amazing human beings, so welcoming, open minded and open hearted. They will make you feel like you are a part of this family. Sam cooks the best food in the world (cannot wait to come back and have some polenta with mushrooms ahah), and will share with you his love for wine and liquor. He may also be the most interesting person I have ever met, with so many stories to tell, he has seen so much of the world !!

Trina definitely made this place feel like home. She is the best listener (the long conversations after dinner at night were so amazing and interesting) and as I used to tell Zoe and Vera, the king of mom I wish I grew up with, so caring and humanly intelligent. I am also so glad I got to meet her friend Connie, who was such an interesting and amazing encounter as well. Now Alex was definitely the highlight of my trip there, she is a brilliant kid, so kind, special and intelligent (like crazy intelligent!! like doing A level mathematics at 10yo intelligent!!!). She taught me so much about plants, the Orto, and chess!! Playing with her in the afternoons at the pool was so much fun (also please send me the movie we made!!). I cannot wait to see what she has accomplished in 20y, cause it will be something big!!!

My days there consisted in waking up around 7, going for a swim or eating breakfast right away (amazing porridge, coffee and fruits from the garden that we picked up), and then in the morning working in the Orto or in the garden, weeding or piking fruits (always with alex and having so much fun). Then running to the pool cause it was getting hot, to finally have lunch with everyone (wish I could show everyone the pictures I took of the amazing dishes Sam cooked for us every day). Then we would have some rest, take a nap, or personally I loved finding a good spot under the shade in the garden with a great view and falling asleep there while reading a good book. You could also go by the pool, play with alex at board games or at the tennis table. We also made crumble (thank you Vera!!) and even made our own gelato !! However, doing the mosaics for the chapel with Trina was one of my favorite thing I did there hands down, so instructive, beautiful and emotional for everyone.

Sam and Trina will provide you with anything you need, and Sam, you were right, it truly feels like a summer camp more than a place you go to work to. Zoe and I got the chance to borrow some bikes and go to Umbertide, try some specialties and buy some clothes and books at the little thrift shop. Although coming back to the house was definitely a challenge ahah we loved doing it so much, and were welcomed with the most amazing lemon pasta so all worth it!!

I seriously felt spoiled there, and overall feel so lucky to have met Trina and Sam. It's hard to put into words how wonderful this all experience was, and how emotional I was when it ended. I look forward to come back (maybe to Perugia this time!!!) to see all of you and this time bring you some French specialties!!!

Thank you again for everything, Alex is such a lucky kid growing up in such a loving and caring family.
