Hi! I'm Sakura from Aichi, Japan!
I'm 22 years old and a university student!
I'm open-minded, hardworking, and smiley person :)

I’ve been taking a year off from my uni since April 2023 to have a working holiday and do Workaway in Denmark from September to January 2024.
I'd love to experience lifestyles and culture that are different from Japan!

I’ve experienced Workaway twice between September to Noveber 2023.
Those are what I did:
・weeding
・cutting hedges
・cleaning windows, kitchen, and bathrooms
・hovering
・cracking walnuts
・cooking
・chopping wood with a machine
・teaching Japanese
・getting rid of chafer grubs, the larval which damage lawns

I’d love to do those kinds of tasks again!

I’m interested in all types of help and learning opportunities, but especially I have interests in those and here are the reasons.

・help with eco projects, gardening, farming, DIY, animal caring
I’m interested in sustainable/ethical ways of living! And I love animals ( though I have allergies to cats and dogs…).

・babysitting, creative play
I've worked part-time at an English teaching school for children around 3~13 years old as a supporter of foreign teachers in classes. I like to play with kids! In the place I stayed in September, I danced or played various games with a 11 years-old girl!

・help around the house, general maintenance
I lived with my parents in Japan, but I helped household. Also, I found fun in cleaning after my first Workaway! I’d love to help cleaning windows or kitchen from corner to corner!

I'm from Japan, so I can teach Japanese too :)
I will cook Japanese food and share Japanese culture!!
(I may have something I can’t explain well due to my English or lack of knowledge, but I would appreciate it if you could give me your time to check about what you want to know…)

I've been learning English (intermediate) and Danish (super beginner). I want to improve each speaking skill, so I'd be so happy if I could chat in those languages a lot during my stay!

My hobbies are watching dramas, listening to music and taking photos of the sky and nature! Also, I like to do small tasks diligently such as making beaded accessories and knitting :)

I'm looking forward to volunteering in many places and meeting various people :)
