Hello,

My name is Robin, I am a 30-year-old freelance filmmaker and editor from France. I'm currently traveling one year in Japan on a Working Holiday Visa and I am looking for meaningful experiences that will allow me to discover Japanese culture, language, countrysides and nature, to learn skills and meet people !
I'm new on WorkAway website, so my profile is still a little bit empty for now, but I can't wait to make new experiences !

I am particularly interested in renovation projects, traditional craftsmanship, DIY work, and learning practical skills related to building maintenance and restoration. I enjoy working with my hands, learning new techniques, and contributing to long-term projects. But I am also interested in farming, gardening, and outdoor activities.
As I'm part of a big family, I'm used to be around children an love spending time with them, teaching and playing :)

I am curious, reliable, adaptable, and eager to meet local people. I learn fast and can adapt to either quiet environment and more intense moments. Having already visited Japan twice, I have developed a strong interest in its culture, architecture, nature, and way of life. I am also studying Japanese and hope to improve my language skills through daily interaction and cultural exchange.

I am looking for a friendly environment where I can contribute, learn, and share experiences while discovering a more authentic side of Japan. As an artist and a filmmaker, these experiences are very important for my work and my creativity, I hope I'll be able to also share my passion with you.

I can teach my native language, which is french, but also a little bit of english. About japanese, I took lessons in Paris during 2 years, so I have some basic knowledge, but I've lost a lot since, and I wish to improve my japanse during my time here in Japan :)

Quais são suas habilidades?

As i renovate my own place in France, I enjoy hands-on work and have experience with basic plumbing, electrical repairs, woodworking, painting, gardening, and general maintenance. I am comfortable using common power tools and equipment and I like learning practical skills through real projects. Although I am not a professional builder, I am reliable, motivated, and always happy to learn new techniques and help with renovation or outdoor work. My main goal is to contribute positively while gaining experience and discovering local ways of life.
