Hey I'm Quinne!
I am 18 and I am so excited to start traveling. I was born in northern California but mostly grew up in North Carolina. Since I was young I have loved farming and being outdoors. I graduated high school early to pursue traveling. I am a fast learner, reliable, and always down for an adventure!

I was very involved in my community throughout high school, doing things such as local activism, being the secretary of a school club, and I was a captain for my schools field hockey team. I am interested in learning about new cultures and languages and I'm especially excited to try new foods and hear new music! I've always been driven to help those around me and stand up for what's right.

I have been working on a small local organic farm for the past couple of years and I love it. I spend my time at the farm planting, harvesting, doing general maintenance and preparing produce to be sold at our farm stand. It is hard work but so worth it. I find the work to be grounding, down to earth (literally) and contemplative.

When I am not working I take every opportunity I get to explore new places. I love going on solo trips to the mountains where I hike, camp and meet new people. Although I am definitely team mountains I love a good beach trip to clear my mind and relax. My solo travel has taught me to be adaptable and independent. I cant wait to learn more about solo travel while also building new relationships in new places.

I have done 4 Workaways so far and I loved each of them. Two were farm work and two were language exchanges with children.

I'm so stoked to start a new story!

I am good at cooking and have been cooking for myself since I was young. I am great at farming, gardening, animal care, and general maintenance because of my experience working on farms. Being secretary of a school club for 4 years my primary job was making connections and social media management so I have learned to effectively promote and communicate with others.

I would love to meet up with other workaway travelers over coffee or a meal to talk about life and workaway experiences. Or we could go on a hike. I am always down for whatever. If anyone has experience backpacking through SE Asia please reach out! I need all the help i can get!

I want to learn new sports like surfing and climbing. Although I am not aiming for college I want to gain knowledge from the people I meet and the experiences I have.

  I am vegan but I live in a not vegan family so i am happy to stay with non vegans! I am really resourceful when it comes to cooking and finding things to eat!
