Hi! I’m Pragyan, originally from India and passionate about storytelling, community building, and cultural exchange. I’ve worked as a journalist and editor, focusing on Southasia, and I love using media to connect people across borders.

Beyond my professional work, I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and learning from different cultures. I’m creative and organized , I’ve managed newsletters, social media, and events — but I also love hands-on experiences, whether that’s helping with community projects, teaching, or learning new skills on the ground.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I come with a background in journalism, media, and community work, and I enjoy applying those skills in creative, practical ways wherever I go. As an Associate Editor at Sapan News, I’ve developed strong abilities in writing, editing, research, social media, and project management. I’ve also organized events, coordinated volunteers, and worked on fundraising campaigns, so I’m comfortable handling both creative and logistical tasks.

Beyond my professional experience, I’m adaptable and curious. I enjoy teaching, cultural exchange, and community projects, and I’m happy to help with things like content creation, communications, event planning, outreach, or language practice (I speak English and Hindi, and some basic Nepali). I also don’t mind getting my hands dirty — I’ve helped with daily organizational tasks, gardening, cooking, and general upkeep.

Above all, I bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a collaborative spirit. I enjoy learning new skills, sharing what I know, and contributing to projects that bring people together.

When I’m not working, I love exploring creative outlets and social activities. I enjoy playing board games like Catan and chess, they’re a great way to connect with people across languages and cultures. I also love dancing, experimenting with DIY projects, and trying my hand at wall painting or small creative makeovers.

I’m interested in makeup and design, and generally enjoy any activity where I can express creativity and work with my hands. I’m always up for learning new hobbies from others, and I believe these shared interests are a wonderful way to build community.
