Hola!

My name is Phoebe, I am 25 years 25-year-old woman from Britain with Belizean heritage. I am travelling I am taking a trip to Guatemala, LA and Belize for cultural and historical research. Plus, to slow down and take a break from the chaos of London living. I am a very beginner at Spanish knowing only the basics, but my mission is to become fluent in Latin American Spanish and I will try very hard to achieve this goal this year.

I am extroverted and have great social skills. I am certainly a people person but I also enjoy being alone with my head in a good history book. I am a vegetarian and I love animals- especially dogs! I am my best self when I am around nature with caring and open-minded people.

I am a very hard worker and like to keep my hands busy. I currently am a head chef, managing a restaurant in London Waterloo. I cook almost everything but obviously, vegetarian food is my preference. I enjoy yoga and I am looking to learn more about meditation/mindfulness. I am always happy to exchange skills, knowledge and language.

I have a huge passion for history, language and culture. I have a Degree in Modern History and I am starting my History MA in London this October (2024). The purpose of my trip is to research Central American and Belizean history. I have taught classrooms of up to 25 children in History. I also am an events organiser for community history events, therefore I am extremely organised. If I put my mind to something, there's not much that can stop me- this is my secret power.

My heart is with community uplift and environmental sustainability.

I am a great cook and I enjoy cooking for others! I worked in a kitchen for a year and a half- as well as at catering events for large amounts of people.

I am a good worker. I have had many manual jobs in hospitality and cleaning. I can pick things up very easy when given instructions and I am happy to do most jobs. I have good initiative and I am great around animals.

I am very good with children. I teach children (between ages 8-16) back in England in history, culture and identity.
