Hello! I’m Paula, I’m 50 and work as an English teacher. My children are grown up now and I feel as though I’m ready to explore and adventure! I love animals , cooking, nature, reading, spiritual exploring. I love the coast which I am lucky to live beside and love sea swimming. I’m a happy person, I love meeting new people and I’m lucky enough to feel like I’m entering a new phase of my life. I’m absolutely open to anything that comes along and firmly believe if I’m meant to be there I’ll be there!

Our new bestie! -We want that one!

Paula was our 2. Workawayer in 2025, and stayed here for 3 weeks from the end of July until mid August.

First of all... This is the most pointless review we have ever written. Why? Because Paula from now on ALWAYS AND ONLY COME HERE for a revisit in July!! Yes, this is one of the ones where you know you… read more have made a new friendship that will last forever. The 3 weeks just flew by and we are now on a rebound from all the fun and laughter!

So what did this outstandig woman do, weil here? We had a lot of small things, that needed a loving hand. Paula painted, weeded in the garden, picked beans and blueberries, planted the new strawberrie plants for next season, fell in love w the chickes & cats and took very good care of them all ( YOU SPOILED THEM!!) , cooked a mexican meal one evening, helped out w prepping the tomates for the winter, watering the garden, cleaning chanterelles from the forrest, learned all the tricks from the kitchen she wanted to learn (like salat making ( Nynne`s way) and how to do the tomatoes for the ( now WA- famous first- night-tomatosauce) tomatoes we use for everything in the wintertime. Always paying attention to the orders given, before starting a new task. The ones she had already been showen, she just did on a daily basis- or when needed, without being asked.
One night we heard that a dear nighbour had two loose cattles in the forrest. Out here, we help out when a nighbour is in trouble, so we jumped in the cars to help out. It had already been a long hot day in the garden, so Paula was COMPLETLY off duty! But NO NO, she wanted to join the rescue team! And thats just one of the million things we love about Paula. She`s ON! She helped out non stop. We tried to stop her on a daily basis. The only thing that really does the trick on Paula is... A ice cold beer on a hot day;-) THAT slows her down just a bit, but if duty calls, she`ll rise and help out all she can! To say it short: PAULA IS ON!
Nynne has takes a lot of WA`s to her basked making classes, Paula was VERY skilled and in the top league of them all! Because she pays attention to the details.
We would always be over the moon to have Paula as a housetitter, she so trustworthy.

Paula as a person? With the strong personalities here on the farm, it was super to have some one like Paula among our residents;-) It was great to have such a down to earth, thoughtful,sweet person comming to work here on our farm. Paula was not affraid of any job and could easily move from one job to next with ease.
She was so easy to cook for and enjoyed every meal we made for her- and told us at every single meal!
The one thing that really stood out is her humor. Ohh boy, we had a non stop 3 week stand up show going on here. If it was possible to top the last joke someone made, we did! A non stop battle on words and sayings. We all have so much in common when it comes to humor. It was a blast and we miss her and the jokes flying around, on a daily basis!
We happend to get 3 revisits from former workawayers ( USA, Germany and Spain), weil Paula was here. She was super polite, stepped aside to let us have a private moment, before she joined in- we had to call her into the kitchen for dinner. And then we all just had so very much fun and nice evenigs. That shows what a great people-person Paula is. She just blended in with everybody and enjoyed all our WA-friends and their family, whom we got to meet this summer.

Dearest sweet Paula, So much more to say.... Thank good for Whatsapp, so we can continue our daily jokes. As you know (by now): A good relationship is based on shenanigans, alkohol and a dislike of the same people! THANKYOU for finding us and comming this way. We have a strong bond now and it will not break easily!

We love and miss you so much daily- and are looking forward to your return next July!

P.S Topless gardening is highly underrated along with all the other thigs that can`t be mentioned here in public- BUT WE KNOW;-)
