Hi!! We are Jana (27 years) and Patty (28 years). We are best friends and have known each other since we were born - like sisters, so to speak. Now we're looking forward to adventures together at workaway and can't wait to lend a hand and learn a thing or two!

About Jana: I grew up in the middle of the city, but found my place of rest in nature and in my parents' garden. For me there is nothing more fulfilling than roaming through the garden, watching the cultivated plants grow and finally harvesting your own fruits and vegetables. Nothing tastes better than homegrown! Currently, I also spend a lot of time on a field that friends of mine have leased and help there with everything that comes up. for me the best balance to my rather heady job (I'm a psychologist!). So I hope to be a help to you and maybe learn a thing or two! I am also very animal-loving, grew up with dogs and love donkeys. I'm definitely not afraid to be hands-on and look forward to lending a hand! I speak fluent German and English and enjoyed learning French at school for a long time and would be very happy to dust off those skills again. Otherwise, I love to cook, read a lot and do sports (swimming, yoga).

About Patricia: I study graphic design in Aachen. I like to spend my free time outside the city in nature - I love hiking and bouldering. Besides my interest in art, I love animals (especially goats) and soak up any knowledge I read or hear about them. I grew up with animals (chickens, dog, cat) and a large vegetable garden and appreciate the benefits of that and helping out. My own desire is to eventually own a small farm with happy goats and chickens and combine that with my art in everyday farm life. I have a great desire to live the everyday life of the farm and learn new things. So far I have only petted goats or read up on them, I would be very excited to see what it is like to spend everyday life with them.

In general, we are very curious and eager to learn. After all - we are intentionally not looking for the classic beach vacation, but to have a bit of an adventure and get really hands-on! From feeding animals, harvesting and doing garden work, building something (with a bit of guidance) or cooking - we're in!
