Hi there! Nice to meet you!🫶
I am Paola, a 24 year old Italian girl. I am a psychology graduate, currently finishing my engineering degree. I was born in Puglia in the south of Italy, I grew up in the countryside, and I have lived in Milan for my studies.
Growing up in a rural environment made me very comfortable with nature. I have some basic experience with gardening (mainly thanks to my grandfather). I am not highly experienced, but I learn quickly and I am not afraid of getting my hands dirty. I spent a year abroad in Canada. I lived with an amazing host family, and reached a C1 level in English. I love languages and I am learning Spanish and French.
Sport is my passion. I have danced for eight years, I enjoy group sports (volleyball, padel..) and I love hiking. I am also learning how to surf and I it gives me a beautiful sense of freedom.
I have experience in volunteering since I was young. I supported children from difficult family backgrounds in my city and I spent a month in Thailand teaching English in local schools. I have babysat for many years and taught teenagers math, English and chemistry. In recent years I have also worked in a children’s clinic.
I enjoy cooking (and I love baking). I have worked at events in Milan preparing drinks and food and also worked as a hostess (like welcoming guests) in many occasions.

I believe helping and learning through human connections is one of the most beautiful parts of life. That’s the main reason I decided to start this journey.

I love languages. I am native Italian. I also studied in Canada, so I am fluent in English. I have taught both English and Italian to children and teens here. I am super happy to help if you want to practice. I’m currently learning Spanish and French, so I’d love to practice with you if you speak either of those. I’m passionate about languages in general, so whatever language you speak, I’d love to learn at least the basics if you’re willing to share.

My main skills are people-oriented.
Thanks to my psychology background, I have strong empathy, communication and listening skills.
I have solid experience with children and teenagers through:
• volunteering (Italy and abroad)
• babysitting
• tutoring (English, math and science)
I enjoy creating both educational and fun activities and building a positive environment.
I can also help with languages:
• Italian (native)
• English (C1 level)
I love cooking and I am confident in the kitchen. I mainly cook Italian food, but I enjoy experimenting with different cuisines.
I am active, energetic and physically fit. I enjoy sports, hiking and outdoor activities. So even though I have never done any serious manual labor, I was raised in the countryside. So I won’t be afraid to get my hands dirty.
Having lived abroad, I am open-minded and comfortable in multicultural environments.
I am adaptable, fast learner and willing to help with any task needed.
