Hello!! We are Oihane and Matteo :)
We are currently travelling around Europe on a van. We always move with our climbing and slacklining stuff. We love spending time in the mountain and being outside in general, since travelling together we have climbed in Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Chile, Argentina and Peru, meeting a lot of people and sharing with them our passion. We want to keep living like this for some time, trying to stay in a warm place for the winter. Both of us have a long experience with workaway and volounteering in general: Matteo mainly worked in hostals and mountain huts, while Oihane in carpentry and gardening.
We are open to new experiences and love to learn new skills. The only thing we really care about is being in good enviroments and have around positive people.

Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trascorrere quasi un mese e mezzo in questa proprietà di otto ettari nel cuore della Gallura, ospitati da Anneline ed Heric, che ci hanno accolti con generosità e spirito di condivisione.
Il lavoro che abbiamo svolto è stato vario e interessante.

Oihane and Matteo stayed with us for about 6 weeks and we enjoyed every moment with them. They are positive, respectful and very loyal personalities. They helped us a great deal with cleaning our aromatic plants, trimming the forest and making a new electric fence. He estado mes y medio en aquí y desde el principio me he sentido como en casa. Acogida por el amigo Paco, bajo los cuidados de la maravillosa Charo, acompañada por el siempre disponible vecino Jose Daniel y además, he podido sentirme habitante del pueblo y su majísima alcaldesa María. Mi experiencia la podría describir en dos etapas… read more distintas. La primera fue compartida con Matteo y Saul, dos personas maravillosas con las que he hecho mucha amistad y he sentido complicidad a la hora de trabajar en equipo en los trabajos que nos dejaba Paco. Junto a ellos aprendí carpintería y albañilería sencilla, a mantener el huerto y los cuidados diarios de las gallinas. Además, hemos tenido la suerte de compartir una gran pasión por la escalada, lo que ha hecho aun más especial mi experiencia y nos ha permitido crear amistad con gente local. La segunda etapa empezó al marcharse mis dos compañeros y con la llegada de Tan, una chica australiana muy auténtica y natural, con la que he compartido largas y profundas charlas. Con ella nos funcionó muy bien el repartirnos las tareas, ya que sobre todo tuvimos que lijar y barnizar los suelos y maderas, por lo que cada una se adjudicaba una tarea y así íbamos tachando la lista.
Paco es una persona auténtica, un gran escalador estilo “old school” y con un corazón tan grande que no le cabe en el pecho. Siempre se ha preocupado por que no nos falte de nada en la casa, y en todo momento ha tenido interés por compartir su conocimiento adquirido en miles de experiencias vividas a lo largo de su vida.
Ha sido mi primer workaway y me ha encantado. Ha sido una experiencia única, llena de aprendizajes y emociones bonitas.
Muchas gracias Paco, y muchas gracias al pueblo por acogernos tan bien. Espero volver a vernos pronto.

I have been here for a month and a half and from the beginning I felt at home. Welcomed by my friend Paco, under the care of the wonderful Charo, accompanied by the always available neighbor Jose Daniel and in addition, I have been able to feel like a real neighbor of the town and its wonderful mayor María. I also could describe my experience in two different stages. The first was shared with Matteo and Saul, two wonderful people with whom I have made a great friendship and have felt complicity when working as a team on the jobs that Paco left us. I learned carpentry and simple masonry, how to maintain the garden and the daily care of the chickens. Furthermore, we have been lucky for shareing a great passion for climbing, which has made my experience even more special and has allowed us to meet local people. The second stage began when my two mates left and with the arrival of Tan, a very authentic and natural Australian girl, with whom I have shared long and deep conversations. With her it worked very well for us to divide the tasks, we had to sand and varnish the floors and wood, so each one was assigned a task and that's how we crossed off the check list.
Paco is an authentic person, a great “old school” style climber and with a heart so big that it doesn't fit in his chest. He has always been concerned that we don’t lack anything in the house, and at all times he has been interested in sharing the knowledge acquired from him in thousands of experiences throughout his life.
This was my first workaway and I loved it. It has been a unique experience, full of learning and beautiful emotions.
Thank you very much Paco, and many thanks to the town for welcoming us so well. I hope to see you soon again.
