Goedendag, bonjour, hola, hello lovely people! ☀️☀️

My name is Munera, but most people call me Muna. I am Belgian and have lived most of my life in a small city in Flanders, a Dutch-speaking region. However, I studied and now work in Brussels. I am currently working as a policy officer at our national youth council and advise the government on children and youth themes.

I'm taking a little break to discover and broaden my world from September to December 2024 and am looking for my first Workaway experience, and a lovely host whom I can find a match with 😊

My personality:
My friends describe me as a warm and caring person with a bubbly personality. I was raised to be very polite and I’m friendly in nature. I am mature, reliable, able to communicate my needs effectively, and have a good understanding of different types of people, always trying to understand others' perspectives.

Quais são suas habilidades?

- Babysitting: I babysat for various international families in Brussels during my student years, taking care of kids aged 2 to 14. I even babysat a baby from 2 months to 1 year for a year. From school pickups, dinner prep, to bedtime, I’ve done it all!

- Youth engagement: thanks to my job at the youth council, I’m great with teenagers and young adults. I understand their needs and provide the support they need to thrive.

-Overall household support: growing up in a household with four kids and a single dad taught me the importance of pitching in. I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves and get things done around the house.

-Gardening: I recently discovered a love for gardening and I’m excited to keep learning and growing ;)

-Nutrition: I have a huge interest in food and nutrition and love to share some of my knowledge with you :))

-Study guidance: I offer study tips, tricks, and techniques to help students learn actively and improve their academic performance and give them some support in this.
