Hello world! 🌍 I'm Mauro, a free-spirited Swiss soul on the lookout for incredible volunteering experiences in Middle America through this awesome platform. As I set sail on this journey, let me share a bit about who I am and what makes me tick.

First things first, I'm a passionate surfer. The rush of riding the waves is not just a sport for me; it's a way of life. I'm bringing this love for the ocean with me, and I can't wait to explore the coastlines of Middle America, board in tow.

But it's not all about the waves; I've got an itch to immerse myself in the infectious beats of salsa and embrace the beauty of Latin Spanish. Picture this: me, grooving to the rhythm, and attempting to master the dance with a big smile on my face.

Social butterflies, rejoice! I thrive on connections and new friendships. Whether it's over a cup of coffee or a shared adventure, I believe that the best experiences are those we create together. Physically active and always up for a challenge, I bring an energy that's infectious.

During my academic journey for becoming a primary school teacher, I took on a variety of roles, including a few side jobs during my studies. Heres a list of jobs I have been working on:

The diverse range of jobs I've tackled has shaped me into a versatile individual. From guiding minds as an educator to navigating various roles, I've cultivated adaptability and a passion for learning.

Now, as I embark on this Workaway adventure, I'm not just looking for a place to stay; I'm on the hunt for an immersive experience. I want to contribute my skills, learn from the beautiful tapestry of Middle American life, and, of course, to immerse myself in the beautiful Spanish language.

I want to learn spanish for couple of reasons:1: Spanish is a beautiful sounding language. The way you speak and articulate with one or another is so soothing and relaxing2: The latin/spanish culture is absolutely amazing. Especially when I was in Spain for longer Surftrips, i felt a deeper connection to the local people and the way of life there. 3: Many big countries in the world got spanish as their main language.

Quais são suas habilidades?

During my studies as a primaryschoolteacher I had the opportunity to work in different areas of the catering industry (service, fastfood chef). I really enjoyed the work. Since last summer I teached in Zurich crafts, stitching and art, so therefore i can help fixing stuff around houses aswell.
For about 10 Years now, i produce music with my computer and love the work. So all kinds of digital stuff is no big deal for me (as long as it is not a serious problem). I realized that I need to learn more about real instruments and acoustics, so i started to play piano, guitar and bass.
