My main motivation is to learn as much as possible, and acquire as many new skills as possible. I love learning new languages and wish to immerse myself in different cultures, lifestyles, and worldviews. I wish to challenge myself and go outside my comfort zone, especially through hard and difficult, yet rewarding, work.

Meeting and connecting with new people brings me happiness. Being close to nature, doing sports / exercise, and reading also make me happy.

I would really love to learn to speak Japanese, as I find it a fascinating language and an enjoyable challenge. I would also like to learn Mandarin after I am confident in Japanese. I am qualified to teach English as a Foreign Language.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I love learning new things and can do a bit of everything. I grew up in the countryside with two dogs, so I am good outdoors, and I have climbed several mountains and go hiking a lot, so I am physically fit. When I travelled to Uganda for 2 weeks in 2018, I stayed in a village where we helped to dig a well, teach English, and learned how they live. I have a 150-hour TEFL certificate.

Whilst studying for my Master's in History, where my current average is the highest grade, I work as a baker for 20-hours per-week for a popular fast-food chain. I have worked here for 9 months, so I can cook and clean well with good customer service and people skills. I have also successfully taught college students History as part of my degree. I also built my own computer myself.

I'm really interested in broadening my cultural understanding, which I have done through reading and meeting international students through university and my job. I've always found it to lead to memorable conversations and lasting connections.

In my free time I like running, stretching, moving my body and getting outside. I'm not a big drinker but I do enjoy going to local pubs with friends!
