Hey there:)
I am Meret, I am from Switzerland, I am studying cultural anthropology at the university of zurich.
More about myself: I am a balanced, warm person, I have a mindful way of living. Im interested in interaction with different people and environments, i like the exploration of life, I love to move, like dancing & yoga; cooking with simple yet diverse plant based products excites me, and I appreciate being still.
Equality within diversity, inclusivity, sustainablity and openness are important values to me.

I want to travel and see new places to discover a different nature, flora, smells, culture, ways of living, to meet myself in unfamiliar situations.

I have had my first Workaway experience on a Permaculture Farm in Tunisia. It was great to help and stay there for one week. I also bring some other experiences with me, comparable to workaway: I have worked on an organic vegetable farm for 6 months in my home town. I have some experience in catering and cleaning. I helped with simple renovations iand gardening n an old rural village for a month for room and board. I had the possibility to stay at a little organic farm in Greece for 5 days, where I also helped for room and board. This way of living and working really appealed to me. I loved experiencing and enjoying a day to day reality of people more closely, which is why travelling with Workaway excites tome.

I want to learn, love and enjoy life in countless simple moments.

Quais são suas habilidades?

In 2021 I graduated from a Swiss state grammar school and majored in visual arts.

For the past few years, I have been organising and leading scouting activities on a regular basis. Therefore, I can do creative work and plan things well in a team, I can interact with children and I‘m used to being in nature without any luxuries.

I have experience in cleaning and maintaining indoor spaces (school building, physiotherapy office, AirBnB, etc.).

I worked for half a year on an organic farm where vegetables and fruits were grown, processed and sold. I was an all-rounder, helping in the field, planting, weeding and harvesting, preparing and processing what was harvested. So I gained a deeper awareness and appreciation of the cultivation. However, I did not learn any concrete knowledge.

I have worked in the catering industry for a short period of time, helping at events such as weddings at the buffet, in the kitchen, setting up and taking down.

I have experience in simple renovation work, where I mainly assisted (e.g. painting).

I like to cook often for friends and family (mostly vegan with a variety of foods and spices).

Through my studies i have learned to see my own norms and ideals as relative and be even more open and respectful towards different ways of living
