I have always loved to travel and experience different cultures. I am now widowed, my children are grown and independent and I have recently sold my business so am ready to explore the world and hopefully work at some interesting places along the way. I would love to learn more French and Spanish.

I have owned and operated various business. When my two boys were small I had a children’s swimwear wholesale company, manufacturing swimwear in Hong Kong and selling worldwide. I have started and run a Furniture and décor shop www.simplycottage.com.where I did lots of interior decorating and placing antiques in summer homes in the Muskoka vacation region of Ontario Canada.
When Covid hit I came back to Canada to spend time with my Mother, took a year contract job with a property developer as the director of Real Estate selling ocean front property in a beautiful area of British Columbia, Canada. www.fairwinds,ca.
I love amateur photography (@muskoka-styled on Instagram) but only to amuse myself and to keep my family up to date where I am!
I love horses and am an adequate rider but have not done anything more than trail rides for the past few years.
I have had my scuba license since age 24 and have been lucky enough to dive in some of the best locations in the world.
I am a good cook and enjoy both eating and creating all sorts of different foods. I strive always to eat healthy natural foods and while I am not a vegetarian I am happy to respect others food choices and eat and create vegan/vegetarian dishes. I have worked in restaurants in the past, ( distant past! ).
I like to garden although I am more the "general labor" rather than a person who has any in-depth knowledge of types of plants.. thank goodness there's Google.... I am great at organizing, decluttering and cleaning.
Having renovated several houses and a few commercial buildings and most recently, a church I am quite handy and not afraid to get my hands dirty and do some heavy lifting. I love physical work and am very happy painting and decorating. Refinishing and repurposing antiques is also a passion.
Love animals, when my boys were growing up we had the usual zoo of reptiles, fish and small furry beasts around the house and always a dog or two.
I have traveled extensively by myself including 5 months last year camping around New Zealand. And 5 months in 2017 traveling in Central America.
I am great at customer service having been in the retail business for many years.
I am also an active member of the Rotary Club when I’m at home in Muskoka Canada and will be on the board of my club in Bracebridge, Ontario in 2020.
