Hi there! We are Max & Ella. We recently left our corporate jobs to travel the world together for the better part of a year. This is a goal we have been working toward for a long time; we initially planned to travel when we graduated university in 2020, but COVID had other plans… We are finally here now and excited to see all that the world has to offer!

When we are home in sunny Brisbane, Australia, you’ll usually find Max playing soccer (or football, as the rest of the world calls it) for a local club and barracking for the Brisbane Lions (AFL) or any Australian national team. You’ll find Ella playing AFL for her local club, organizing events like fundraisers and birthday parties, or in the kitchen trying out a new recipe. Together, we love catching up with friends over dinner and drinks or, more recently, at social run clubs.

We are both 25 years old and have spent the last five years working in Human Resources since graduating university. Prior to our "big kid" jobs, Max worked in hospitality for three years and Ella worked in retail for five. We’ve both done some odd jobs here and there, too from umpiring sports and babysitting to facilitating at a kids' fun park. We are quietly confident that, with a little guidance, we can tackle just about any task!

We love traveling because it allows us to appreciate new cultures and understand different perspectives. A family member recommended Workaway as a way to "park up" in a country longer than a typical tourist would, allowing us to get a better feel for the local way of life. Some of our best travel memories come from the people we connect with along the way, so with time on our side, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to experience a Workaway.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Both of us are native English speakers

We both hold University degrees in Business and have worked in professional environments for the last 5 years working in teams. We are organised and work well with others.

We recently completed DIY renovations on our home in Australia, using our practical skills with basic tools, including plastering, painting, tiling, building a deck.

We have experience working in bats, hospitality and retail. We have good customer service skills.

We are physically fit, both having played team sports, running and going to the gym

We are both computer literature and tech savvy. We have a positive and can-do attitude.
