Hi, I'm Mattia (19) from Italy. After finishing my studies, I did what I had felt for a long time: I left home in search of different ways of living, more slowly, consciously and more connected to the earth. I have combined my interest in natural agriculture and permaculture with my desire to see the world and learn about different cultures, traveling to meet and discover alternative communities and learn modern and traditional ways of living and cultivating the land, giving space to ancient knowledge of the various native peoples of the world. My goal is to build a community place with the aim of achieving self-sufficiency and mutual help with a network of similar realities and transmit these values ​​in my area.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have studied different types of alternative agriculture such as permaculture, Fukuoka natural farming, syntropic agriculture and others. I've worked in two organic vineyards, a couple of different natural farms and in my own garden.
I prefer to use manual tools rather than electric or petrol ones.
I like to cook tasty and natural dishes, respecting the earth and all forms of life, therefore prefering a mostly vegan diet, with local eggs and honey.
I learned to work with clay following the teachings of great ceramists in my area.
I play percussion and played in a band with recycled instruments and I was once a reggae and funk vinyl-only DJ.
I founded, together with some friends, a collective within my school to promote conscious information (and counter-information) and to talk among us students about social and political issues which are not usually discussed in class.
